Hi Oasis. I'm 5'1" also and yes, Bonnielass, you make me feel tall and I'm ever so grateful - LOL LOL The older I get the more dangerous it is to be a runt because I have to climb to get to things and that's not a good thing esp. since I'm almost as big around as you are tall - LOL LOL

I have a step ladder in the kitchen, DH puts dishes away, and says he puts them up high so I will need him and keep him around!

I remember my Mom telling me that she grew 6 inches in college. So, after some time working after high school, I went to college. It didn't work. I didn't grow, and I was sooooo disappointed!

When I was young, I had hi-cups all the time and my Mom always said they make you grow. After they would stop she would measure me with a yard stick and say I was taller. Trust me, if that had been true I'd be at least 5' something!!! Everyone else is "normal" in height in my family. At the local Office Depot, their sensor for the sliding door couldn't "see" me and I'd have to wait for a taller person to come along. And to leave a store personnel would walk me to the door!!! They always laughed when they saw me walk in. They finally adjusted the sensor! lol

When I was in jr. high the thing to do was go to the roller rink every Friday night. I had just turned 12 and for Christmas I asked for a pair of shoe skates. At the time I wore a size 4.5 to 5 shoe. Well, my mom went to the roller rink to buy my skates and the "professional" skater sales person told my mother that my feet would probably be growing rapidly so she should get my skates a couple of sizes too big so I could grow into them. It's 44 yrs. later and I haven't grown into those shoe skates yet!!! It's just been in the last few years that I've grown into a 6 - those skates were size 7 so I had 2" of extra boot at the toe. Talk about clumsy and my skating grace was out the window. Oh, but I sure looked good. I think I told y'all before that we were spoiled brats growing up. Well, I had skating skirts of every color you can think of and leotards AND boot covers for my skates that matched the leotards or pom-poms for my skates that matched my outfit. So there I was all petite and dressed fit to kill with boats on my feet - that must have been a sight!!!

cindyg, I'm sitting at my desk eating a cheeseburger reading your post and chuckling....got to "boats on my feet" and almost choked laughing so hard! I better get back to work, this could be hazardous to my health!!! LOL!

Definitely! I would love to meet you and see your shop. Wouldn't it be fun if everyone could visit? Then we could put a face with the name. They could visit the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and all the visitor spots in San Diego.
