akeleyquilter, that's a really cute story! I know it will warm your heart forever! My favorite one is when my oldest grandson, who is 19 now, was almost 4. DD and family had moved from MI to CT just 3 weeks before their baby was due. She asked me to come, as "I won't know anyone to call in the middle of the night if I have to go to the hospital' - as if I wouldn't want to be there anyway!! When it was time to go to the airport to get me, my daughter said to dear little Max, who had just moved to a new house, new room, new neighbors, new nursery school, even a new car as his Dad had a company car - "Come on Max, it's time to go to the airport to get Grandma". He looked at her and said "Is it going to be a new Grandma?". She said, "No, Max", and he shouted "YAY, same old Grandma!". Now THAT one will be with me forever!!

I had my son when I was just 18 years old. I had no clue what to do with him at the time. His father and I did not work out. But my son is now 31 years old and an officer in the Navy. I am so very proud of him and can not imagine a split second without him in my life.
I wish for you and your family some kind of peace in all of this. And sometimes things really do work out for the best. Even when it appears to be so very far from that now.

towens, your guess was what I weighed when I was born. Man, I hate waiting for the news! I'm supposed to be working, but just had to check in here to see if the baby has arrived yet. OMG, I guess the reason it's taking so long is because I guessed the right weight...8lbs.2 oz., man I guess I like chunky babies or something!!! LOL!

Happy Birthday, Littlebit! I hope you have a great day!

My guess is a boy 8 lbs, 1/2 an ounch.

That's the weight of my first DS, born when I was 18.
