A while ago I saw that you could take your lettuce and put it in a quart jar, add your other veggies and seal it. You could make up 7 jars for the week. Open one up and put it on a plate and there you have a quick salad. I tried it and it does stay fresh in the jar, but I am not a salad girl for 7 days straight.

The problem I have is that I have to make regular meals for Ken. No way is he going to eat all the diet food. So it is hard, but I am certainly going to try to cut back. When we get to our next stop, Houston, I am going to do more walking with Luke. That is if the rain ever stops. Lol

Hello, I too have been so busy that I haven't checked in for a long time.

While DH has been away, I have lost 11 pounds......My pants are zipping up a lot easier, lol.

Would still like to lose a few more pounds, but seem to have leveled off. Guess I should add some more type of activity, but don't know how I will fit it in.

Carole, LOL I'd need 21 jars or there about, I eat it for breakfast, lunch and supper most days :-) I thought I'd get tired of it but so far I'm not....knock on wood ;-) Frankie loves all the veggies I cook but I'm always asking him if he wants me to make him something different or if he gets full etc......you see how he is though and what he eats LOL but he is a snacker, he snacks at least 3 times a day! I pass on that LOL. I need to walk more too.
Joyce, that's great! Wow 11 pounds! You go girl! You're doing fantastic! I sure hope I can get out of my stalled state now that Easton is sleeping in a bed and I'm not taking naps in the day too LOL I really think the last couple of months I was down in the dumps from that! But it's better now :-)
Well I just had my breakfast salad and my medicine and my glass of water, I'm not babysitting today so I'm going to sew! The house work is taking a back seat LOL
We can do this!!! :-)

God love you all for entering this program. It is a hard thing to do, I know. Started to put on weight when I began teaching in the lat6e 80's. Finally started to lose weight in early 2000. Was on a medication--not for weight s, but didn't know this was one of the things that happened. It continued on to the next year, then in middle of school year bought a dorm refrig. and put into classroom. Put SLimfast in there when hunger hit me. The product sure doesn't fill you up. But, I am pulling for all of you. Hugs - Helen
PS:When I go to bed at night & wake up hungry, I have a pkg of baby carrots or strips of them to munch on>
I weighed 240# and now 130#. Have a terrible sweet tooth, so never keep in apt.

If I exercised--gag me with a spoon - or walked ---GMWAS - I would have lost weight faster. BUT, I absolutely hate to exercise, and I Know is it good for me, it puts me in a foul mood and being in foul moods is not in my DNA. Therefore, it took me 4 years to lose the weight, but have kept it off. The salad in a Mason Jar, sounds good to me, because I hate to cook. Saw this in a magazine so thanks for refreshing my mind. My DSIL, puts their lettuse in a zip lock bag after washing it and then places and damp paper towel in with it and snaps it shut. It works.

The cookies were good that day but they don't taste good after that, bummer. Oh well live and learn.
