I feel bad I did not loose an ounce But it is Christmas and is hard to turn down eggnog and sweets . But starting Friday all sweets will be gone if they have to go out to trash. We have a sew in at my friends new years eve light food since all of us are trying to loose weight.

Tina, dang.. 35 pounds is a lot of weight...

I am down 17 pounds since we started. decided not to diet but just eat way less than I usually do and if I want more food it is veggies.

Happy New Year all! So glad the holiday season has come to an end... no more cookies, fudge, and parties! I barely made it out alive! I had to miss weigh in this week because of work but last I checked, I was down 42... I am sure I picked up a few at the holidays but onward and upward (or rather downward). I have been re-reading a book on Paleo eating. My pain is so much worse and from what I hear, it may help to try this way of eating. May take awhile to get switched but I think I will give it a try this year.

Blessings to all and keep up the good work!!!!

Sooz, that's how I eat most of the time (paleo) and I have way less pain :-) the holidays had me eating that aren't Paleo and I could feel the difference right away, started hurting and really stiff feeling. Back on Paleo today for the New Year!

Breakfast: a salad with a small amount of meat/protein or wilted spinach, avocado, tomato, almonds or an egg with zucchini or veggies
Lunch: salad with fish, chicken or maybe a small hamburger patty
Supper: salad with chicken, fish or beef, veggies, sometimes half a sweet potato. If I make tacos or burritos for DH I just wrap mine in lettuce leaves. If I make roast, steak or anything I just eat salad with it and some veggies. I try to make sure I eat 1 avocado and 1 tomato every day because avocados are very good for you. I eat fish at least 3 times a week. I fix alot of meats/poultry/pork chops with Chile, tomato, onion, garlic concoction over it because I don't really use salt, I make spice mixtures for seasoning. I pretty much just drink water all day except I have 8oz of milk a day. I make beans of some kind usually twice a month and homemade soup probably 7 days a week. I think I covered it. Oh I eat half an apple, a small amount of grapes, celery, carrots or about 10-15 cashews for a snack if I feel hungry.....but if I'm busy I usually don't have a snack. When I first started eating this way I had a snack every day. Let me know if you need anything else :-)

So tina looks like no white flours, sugars or carbs of bread, crackers or such. That would do it for sure. Those are the worse things to eat but oh how we love them.

I wish I could eat nuts--allergic-- those make the best snacks.

fruit and vegies are great snacks to use. If I can get DH to try that it would be a miracle.

Izzy

I love avacado how do you fix yours just slice it or make guacamole?
