Enjoyed The Bridesmaid by Beverly Lewis (It's an Amish love story with a few twists and turns along with story about a quilt.)

Well, you asked, so here goes......My favorite thing while on vacation, besides eating, was sitting in the sun or by the pool and reading and I managed to read 30 books in the 6 weeks I was gone....So, I'll try to make the list as short as possible....

Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpi-true story about a boy who dies during surgery and tells about being in heaven.....Excellent

High Profile, by Robert Parker......good

Sleep My Love by Elizabeth Norman....good

Shock Wave by John Sanford.....very good (couldn't put it down)

Double Deuce by Robert B. Parker....A spencer story....good

The Forgotten by David Baldacci.....good

If Hooks Could Kill by Betty Hechtman...cute (story about a knitting club and a neighborhood murder)

Daughters of the wild Country by Adla Vandergriff....very good

Unnatural Acts by Stuart Woods.....good

The Gamble by LaVyrle Spencer.....very good

The Husband List by Janet Evanovich....cute

With Heart by Dorothy Garlock.....very good

Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks...His are always very good

Tick Tock by James Patterson....very good

A Deadly Stitch by Susan Sleeman.....cute

A Book By it's Cover by Elizabeth Adams....cute

The Winner by David Baldacci.......very good

Footprints in the Sand by Mary Jane Clark.....very good

Cat and Mouse by James Patterson....very good but scary

A Reliable Wife by Robert Goobrick...good, (mail order bride story)

School Days by Robert B. Parker....another Spencer....good

Thin Air, by Robert Parker.....very good

6th Target by James Patterson.....very good

Home By Dark by Marta Perry....good (Amish)

Loves Haven by Catherine Palmer.....good

Wrapped in Rain by Charles Martin.....very good

Buried Prey by John Sandford......very good

Third Degree by Greg Iles.....very good

Poetry In Motion by Kristia Eckhordt.....cute

I think that's all....The 1st one is a must, really, really good book....

Here's another one I forgot....

Faith of My Fathers by John McCain with Mark Salter...very good....All about his war experiences, very graphic at times and you just wonder how much a person can take.....

Thank you so much for posting your reading list! I am always looking for a good book to read on my Kindle. I will refer back to your list as soon as I finish the book I am reading now! Thank you again, I appreciate it!

I has anyone read Mrs.Lincoln's Dressmaker by Jennifer Ciaverini? Wonderfully done, very historically accurate.

I just finished "Mrs. Lincoln's dressmaker" It was a good book. If you
like civil war stories, this one is from the prosective of a black former slave and very well written.

Sherry, thank you for the thumbs up on "Girl Gone". I just finished it and have to tell you, once I got into it, it was hard to put down. Some of the language was a little rough but the plot was unique and kept me reading. I just down loaded the other two books by the same author, Gillian Flynn.

Here's another thriller I just finished....."Presumed Innocent" by Scott Turow.....It kept my interest, although it was long and drawn out...But, a real surprise, right up to the end.......

If you have never read "The Good Earth" by Pearl S. Buck, I highly recommend it. I am now reading her companion books to it.

I recently re-read The Good Earth. What are the 'companion' books? I have read lots of Pearl Buck's works - many years ago.
