I wasn't sure where to post this, so here it is:

I had my colonoscopy and ENG today, and the colonoscopy was fine, except for the hemorrhoids that I knew I had.

The ENG (upper GI), however, showed several different things. I have severe reflux...a hiatal hernia....and not so cute looking cells that they took for biopsy (doc said they look pre-cancerous).... so biopsy results won't be back until next week.

Thursday, I have a hysteroscopy, because ultrasound shows I have a "thickening" of my uterine wall, and they are going to go in a have a look (with camera) and "take a sample and send it for testing"...the wording was very careful when the doctor's office called (probably because they've had women get hysterical on them at the word "biopsy")....

I'm ok, and am being very careful not to become one of those helpless people, and there's nothing to cry about for now, just asking for prayers, please.

Love you all.

Deb,
Prayers for strength and love being sent your way. May God grant you peace. Bad things happen to good people and tho it seems more than you can bear He has promised never to leave you or forsake you or to give you more than you can handle. You are stronger than you know. Trust Him to be your help and strength.

Last night I was informed that one of the elderly men at my church passed away sometime Monday night in his sleep. He did not show up for his regular Tues AM event and when they went to check on him, they found him. I had just seen him at church on Sunday. While not feeing good (he hasn't in months) he was happy, very pleased with the bible lesson and seemed at peace. We do not yet now what happened, I am assuming a heart attack or something like that. Would you all please pray for his family, church family and especially my DGS. They were quite close. He taught Andrew all of the things that Andrew now does at church and I know he will miss him greatly. He hasn't experienced a lot of death so not sure how he will manage this. Thank you all

Please keep Jules' family in your prayers. She just posted over in Sew-Ins that her nephew (her sister's eldest son) was just killed in an auto accident.

Thanks...

Thank you Mel for letting us know about Jules nephew.

Jules, prayers and many hugs for you and your sister's family today. I posted over in sew-in post. May God bring you support of angels, comfort, and peace today.

I am requesting prayers for my DH, Rod, today. He had 6 biopsies done on skin cancer at VA yesterday. Three are really bad and will require ENT specialist to remove them. Surgery scheduled for Feb 5th.

He went thru treatments in AZ before we left in Nov. They told him to come back in 6 months. Derm dr here was furious they let some go this long or to wait even longer. Rod had a liver transplant 12 yrs ago and that makes skin cancer very bad due to lowered immune levels.

He is in extreme pain today, especially from on inside top of ear. Very large biopsy done there, and due to bandages can't wear hearing aid in that ear or sleep very well either.

I need to go remove bandaids on others today and clean and redo. That one needs to be cleaned up tomorrow. Dread even looking at that one. May have to be cut down into cartilage. Been bleeding for long time and derm dr in AZ didn't seem to be concerned about it.

Please keep him in your prayers. He is very worried and in a lot of pain today. Next week will be even worse. Thank you for your support. I know you all are always there for us. May God bless you all today and supply all your needs too.

Love and hugs across the miles, Shirley Mae

Hello Pals,
It is with sadness but joy as well that I post this. Cindy just texted me that her Mom (diagnosed with terminal cancer) has taken a turn for the worse. Cindy spent the night with Mom and her sister. Mom has asked for Family to fly down quickly. Julia gets in at 10pm and the rest at 11pm.
The joy comes in know that her Mom will be with the Lord soon. She will be healed, dancing on streets of gold in the presence of her Savior - finally in His 'forever home'. Her fight will be over. How wonderful it is to have perfect peace and hope in the midst of great sorrow.

"& on that day when my strength is failing,
the end draws near & my time has come,
still my soul will sing Your praise unending,
ten-thousand years & then forevermore!"

I know that Cindy covets your prayers for the family, especially her Dad. She is thankful for her savior and her friends to lean on when she needs it most. Please keep her and the family in your prayers. Thank you.
If you would like to have her address please PM me.

Update-He has been found and I have heard alive. No more at this time.

Some of you may have seen this on the national news. It made it there this morning. Yesterday morning in Beloit, Wi. a 19 year old mom went to check on her 5 day old son and found him gone. There were 4 adults in the house. The parents are working with the police. The mom's sister was arrested in Iowa, she was on her way home to Colorado, and was picked up for some other charges. She did have baby things in her car, but they are still looking at her. If you have time some prayers to find this baby. It is below zero here and with the windchills it's in the minus 30's.

Prayers for all your needs today. So many going thru medical treatments or facing surgery or just waiting test results. May God bless you all in some special way of healing today. Prayers for everyone's needs today. God knows what you need and we pray that HE will provide for them and surround you all with the support of angels.

Please keep my family in prayer this week also. I am finally going to see my PCP (primary dr) tomorrow. Havent seen a dr except for ER since OCT. Last dr in AZ was a joke. Saw him twice last yr and no help at all for anything. Preferred phone calls and then never followed up on anything. Wonder if he was charging medicare for phone calls as a visit.

Anyway, need to get this tired achy body checked out for a change. Rod wants to start an exercise program thru silversneakers but I want to clear with a dr first. I will see a heart specialist on the 3rd of March too. Gotta get my ducks all in a row here. LOL

Rod is still waiting for surgery on his skin cancer on top inside of his ear. Biopsy site looks really bad too but they are trying to find a specialist to do it since in such a tricky area and could affect hearing. He already wears hearing aids. All other biopsy sites are done and healing so praise the good Lord for that. Thank you God!

I pray for you all everyday even if I don't post. You are my family, a very special family too. Always here when I or others need you. May God bless you all today and always. Love and hugs across the miles, Shirley Mae and Rod too
