We met the most delightful twin sisters in the lobby last night. Janet K. Shawgo is an award winning author. She has written two historical fiction books about traveling nurses. She autographed some for us. Look for Me and Wait for Me. Can't wait to read them.

I just finished reading, "Nothing But The Truth" by John Lescroart...It wasn't the best book I've read but it did hold my interest, but I also thought is was too long, could have cut it in half......

On to something else.......

Here's another, "can't put it down" type of book...Just finished reading "Worst Case" by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge....Very, very good and like I said, couldn't put it down....
On to the next one and just hope it's as good......

I just finished reading "Sonoma Rose Quilt" by Jennifer Chiaverini. It's the most recent of the Elm Creek Quilters series. If you haven't read any of the series yet, the fictional stories are very good and the author does a wonderful job of incorporating the history of quilting into each book.

I discovered a new author at the Quiltfest in Houston. ARLENE SACHITANO. She was there signing copies of her books, all cozy mysteries with a quilting theme. They are a series set in NW Washington and her main character belongs to a quilting group called The Loose Threads. She is the town's long-armer. The story line is great, but her attention to the many details really brings the book alive for a quilter. She talks of batiks, Civil War Fabrics, patterns, blocks, rotary cutters, threads, chocolate! All the componants for great quilting - it's all in there. I bought one for me and one for my DDIL. I'll be reading DIL's before I give it to her!

I finished the first Sachitano book and started on my DIL's. She'd understand, I know. It was fun to read about places I know. The characters went to the quilt show in Tacoma, talked of the Houston Quiltfest, and had lunch in GIG HARBOR!! MY own town! I really need to add more of this series to my library. I think there are about 6 so far . .

Just finished John Grisham's latest book "Racteteer". I could hardly put it down once I started reading it. I love how he always keeps the intrigue going throughout his books. This one is an A++++++. If you are a John Grisham fan, you will just love this one!

I just finished 2 more and they were OK, nothing to brag about.....Nora Robert, "Worth the Risk" and the other which was better was "Off Season" by Philip R. Craig.....I need to get to the Library and hope they have J. Grisham's latest or at least put it on reserve......
