luv_2, I think you'll have a home anywhere you want if you'll just agree to do the laundry! I taught my kids to do laundry as soon as they could reach the buttons on the machine just so I'd have less to do!

I like to do rubberstamping and all kinds of papercrafts, like peragamo (that lacy looking embossing on vellum with special needles), gardening, cooking and baking, scrapbooking, I collect cookbooks, love to read all kinds of books. I like to can jams & jellies& relishes, etc... I love baking Christmas cookies, especially the Springerles with the old-fashioned molds and paint each cookie with "luster dust". And I really like doing paint-by-number kits. I can't draw worth beans, that's why I love rubberstamps and paint-by-number... there's more than one way to skin a cat and you can't let "not drawing" get in your way of fun things. And I have always written and love that, too. Although, I have given up pulling the neighborhood kid's teeth! LOL!

I love to watch quilting shows and read quilting mags and books. I like to spend unrushed time in quilt shops. I love to camp in our 5th wheel at the lake and go out in the boat and fish, take a dip, or just cruise. I like going on my 2 big shopping weekends per year with friends when we go to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX. DH and I like going to Minute Maid Park to watch the Astros play. Most of the time we watch the Astros on TV. I love singing with the praise team at church, spending time with our best friends and our family esp. the grandsons, and doing home improvements/decorating. My BF and I love to look at decorated model homes even tho neither of us is in the market for a new home. My Sunday afternoon nap is one of my favorite things to do. I like to crochet and do counted cross stitch but quilting has replaced both of those.

Georgiapeach - have you ever watched Donna Dewberry's One Stroke Painting. I can't draw either but I did learn how to do leaves and some flowers by watching her on PBS. Hobby Lobby has videos and kits by her - it's mesmerizing to watch. Pretty easy to do. You might try that. Oh, and she has a line of fabric out now.

I love stamping, mostly making my own cards and I do some scrapbooking. My real passion is cooking. I love to come up with new recipes, tweek others (Peach Cream Tart, for example), can fruits and veggies---I would like to build a summer kitchen and get my dream stove in there---a 6 burner, double oven viking or other commercial brand. I'm enjoying my catering business cause I can make my own hours for this. Quilting is my 2nd passion---I'm not that great but have an awesome time----it's addicting!!!!!! Gardening is also right up there with the other 2!
I love spending time in our camper away from everything---our D#1 and her family just bought a new camper this year and have it parked near us so it's fun having the grandkids close.

I love to do many different things; I too enjoy studing scripture actually many times it calls to me, I love to garden and am often struck by the wonderful imagination of our Lord in the different designs of plants and animals. I have fish ponds and my husband has a garden railroad that I enjoyed landscaping, I love to read Janet Evanovich's number book are a hoot I will laugh until tears roll down my face. Scrapbooking is a definate addition as well as cross stitch, and crochet. I spend alot of time trying to put them into my quilts. My quilts often have mixed media beads, buttons, ribbon, silk flowers, silk birds, garland, crafters foam and anything else that stricks my fancy. My dogs keep me busy and I love to cook for my DH. then of course there is the quilting but that is not only a hobby, and an obsession, and a job but I love it all.

cindyg, yes I've tried Donna Dewberry's One Stroke, have the videos and supplies, but haven't taken it up again since we started our business. It was fun and I didn't do too bad with it, although, I'm sure not ready to start embellishing the walls with murels yet! LOL! (maybe in an ex-hubby's house! LOL!) Plaid Enterprises is one of our customers and you can imagine how I love that!!!
