SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Jan 25th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Jan 25, 2024 5:47 am

Good drizzly morning,

Yesterday was a gray, wet, cold, and sometimes thunderous day. I turned on all the inside lights, an audio book, and my sewing machine. Made it a purrfect day! I got 1-1/2 unicorn blocks done. I have another 1-1/2 to do today. Then I will put them together but need to decide if I want to do some fancy borders - like flying geese. Or perhaps piano key. I'm leaning towards piano key because it's quicker, easier, and will use up more of my little scraps. I want to bring it up to the same size as the Cats in PJ's so the twins will have the same size quilts. So this will be my day. No complaints!

TINA - I'm not sure what you're doing that you've already made 200 copies of something and need to make more! Better buy more ink, too! There's no way you can just scan and e-mail these papers? We don't know what the kids plan this weekend. Antonio didn't really know his mother's plans so he didn't give us any time frame. We'll see lots of Amara in the next few weeks so we're not going to push for their weekend time.

LORI - Clean sewing rooms are overrated! Glad you got your lotto blocks finished and mailed. I'll be wanting those!! :D 🤞

BECCA - sorry to hear AVERY is sick with Covid. I hope none of the others get it. It's on the rise everywhere. Holiday gatherings and bad weather have contributed to that. I suspect it's going to be this way for years to come. Happy to hear you got the stocking repaired. That was quick. I wish, too, you could have a bigger place. Have you thought about looking for something else? Or do they have larger apartments available where you are now?

We have steaks in the freezer and Bill says tonite's the night! So we're going to grill if the weather forecast holds. We'll share a baked potato and salad. A classic Frankie birthday supper! I think we'll eat early as the high temps today - 66* - will start to cool off quickly after 4pm.

Do you have a supper plan yet?

Good morning all 🌞
Mary, you're sure whipping those quilts out!
The paperwork I'm coping is for an attorney to see if he'll take our case about our solar. I don't know of any email that would let me send a file that size, Yahoo won't even let me send 20 pages at a time and I'm not savvy enough to figure it out. They are going to Albuquerque so I can't just run them over. But I'm almost finished. It's just time consuming and stressful. I really didn't want to take him to court but he's left us no choice, he liquidated all his assets and moved everything into his own personal accounts and closed the doors. The courts are already going to try and get that reversed. I just really hope this attorney will take our case, finding a consumer protection attorney has proven to be very difficult and then to find one that will take our case is even harder because even though it's a lot to us, it's not a huge money maker for them.
Becca, I hope Avery gets better quickly and nobody else gets it.
Well my paper and ink just came so I need to get busy. I want to get this done so it can go in tomorrow's mail.
It's Dad's night for supper and right now I don't have a clue what I'm making.

I'm back!
Becca, what kind of concert is it?
I finished all the copying and wrote a bunch of papers about what happened. I even had my hand go numb from writing so much, but good thing I made a copy of those and if this attorney doesn't take the case then I won't have to write it all out again. I'm really hoping he takes it though, I copied 345 pages, they're ready to go in tomorrow's mail. I'm exhausted!
I managed to make a pot of veggie beef soup for supper, Frankie helped me.
I'm making a grocery order for Dad for tomorrow, I'm taking the rest of the day off from obligations.

Tina, I sure hope they take your case after all the work you've done. Sounds like maybe this contractor has done this before. What a mess for you.

Becca, sounds like you stay pretty busy all the time.

Mary, I like piano key borders. They use up a lot of leftovers. And yes, clean sewing rooms are over rated.
I chose to mess up more than it already was by doing a few little projects.

I cut out a couple of wool projects I bought from Buttermilk Basin at Road2CA. One I'm making for my friend. I also too Jack for a do it yourself bath at the pet store. I liked it. It was fast and easy. We'll be doing that again. Wrigley will be next.

Dinner will be...I haven't even looked to see what's in the fridge. So I'm not sure yet.

Have a lovely day.
