Supper Club. Mon Nov 6

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Nov 06, 2023 3:54 am

Good morning

I might break out the shorts. I brought one pair along. I don’t have much to report. We drive all day and then stop. Bumpy roads so didn’t get much stitching done.

I’ve explained daylight savings to our boys but they don’t want to understand. They want their breakfast. At 0330. Good thing I’m an early riser by nature. Though that’s a tad early even for me. But in a few days we’ll be in the next time zone which will be like being back in PDT. Problem solved!

Since the weather is so nice, I think we will grill. Chicken probably. And grill potatoes, too. The only fresh veggies we have are carrots and celery but we have canned and frozen peas, corn, green beans, and lima beans. So we’ll be good on something green.

What’s the plan for your plate tonight?

Good morning all 🌞
Mary, I hope you get smoother roads. We just came off daylight savings time, we're on regular standard time now. This is my time, I don't feel so exhausted on this time, I call it God's time, it's aligned with the sun.
Laundry and sewing is on my agenda today.
I have chicken thawing for supper tonight. I want to make baked chicken and rice and we have salad or I can do another veggie to be determined.

Tina, I'm with you. We should stay on standard time. You get the same amount of daylight either way. People think they get more, it's an illusion.

Mary, bummer about the bumpy roads. Glad your driver is getting a day of rest, as are you. And you are finally getting your burger.

Jack took me for my walk, then I went and got dad's groceries. I'm home now and need to vacuum and dust. Then a little time in the sewing room.

Dinner will be enchiladas tonight. I have green onions in my yard that I'll pull and use.

Have a lovely day.
