SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, October 26th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Oct 26, 2023 6:48 am

Good morning,

It's another dark morning here and only 37* Brrrr!! So glad I broke down and bought a new coat. A puffer jacket from Costco. So warm! Too warm for me most of the time. But I doubt today will be one of those times.

Yesterday was full to the brim once again. Chiro, groceries, and haircut. And hair highlights. My hair dresser insisted the highlights would blend in all the gray I'm getting. I resisted at first but finally gave in and warned her to not make me look blond! I'm a redhead and we redheads are partial to our red! Well, now I'm a blond. Or just all white. take your pick. Sigh. I'm glad I'm leaving for 3 months so I can let it grow out. No one will see me but my sister. And Autumn. But Aut has family photos scheduled for Dec 1st and this white/blond will be immortalized forever! 😭

Today is dental cleanings and one other errand Bill has to run and I'll just happen to be in the car with him. Then I have mountains of laundry to do. A week's worth of regular clothing and towels but also all the clothes Bill has kept in the trailer closet for YEARS, never wears, and I told him THREE times that they need to be brought in and washed so he can start over on his closet. He thinks washing his clothes will wear them out. But so will leaving them hang undisturbed for years while you travel thousands of miles over dusty roads! He doesn't like it if I touch his clothes other than to wash and fold, but after asking him 3x to bring them in guess what - I'M GOING TO TOUCH THEM!! For some reason, laundry is something he is very touchy about. I don't know how he grew up but I keep getting, "you're not my mother!". Well, then, stop acting like a little boy! is my answer. I'm sure every couple has at least one "issue" they go through their marriage with and I guess if laundry is all we got, we're lucky. lol!

Anyhoo - teeth and laundry will be my day today,

CAROL - glad you are getting your Covid shot. We feel like pincushions over the past 6 weeks - Covid, flu, RSV, T-dap, and Bill got pneumonia. They are going to have to invent new diseases for us to need any more shots! And yes, by getting Scottie into the groomer on Monday, it frees up Friday completely for us! We also had Doyle & Susie coming for supper Friday but offered them Sunday instead so they could watch Seahawks with us since they don't get that channel. They accepted quickly, and so now Friday is completely free!

TINA - hope you are feeling better today and sleeping well. Could that paper have gotten accidentally misfiled? Was anything else going on in your life at that time - new siding, painting, vehicle repairs - anything you would have paperwork? If so, could that paper have accidentally gotten included with the wrong set of papers? Just trying to help you look from 1800 miles away.

Tonite we're having breakfast for supper. I have two little potatoes to use up, bacon, eggs, and two slices of bread that aren't getting any younger.

What's your plan?

Good morning all 🌞
Mary, I'm sorry about your hair, did you tell her? She could redo it I'm guessing but I don't know that much about highlights. I'd sure ask especially since you're having your pictures taken soon.
We got down to 44° outside and at 1:44am I had to shut the bathroom window because it was a tad chilly, even with shutting the window it's 64° in the house, my bed was so nice and warm LOL
That's kinda funny about Bill's clothes, I like your comeback about you not being his mother, I'll have to tell Holly that one..... as you know she can use it but hers are in way more things than laundry. Or maybe I'll use it for her 😈
I'm getting my teeth cleaned Tuesday, I think we're getting our covid shots today or tomorrow, they've got the new ones in now and I think Dad said he is getting his today too.
I slept 7 hours last night with only getting up once to potty so I feel rested today.
I've looked in other places for that paper, I always keep them all together. I did have a notebook that I tore notes out of to put in the file, I'm wondering if the paper might be in it, I'll look through them today. I appreciate you trying to help, maybe you'll think of something that I haven't, so far I've looked everywhere else except where it is 😉
I think I'm leaning towards chile rellenos for supper, I want something meatless.

Hello everyone sunny here today I never could get on here yesterday It’s bad here most of time connection wise
I had a good day I helped with Festival for kids and it was from 2 to 5 I worked with a lady down the hall It was throwing balls thru mouth of Pumpkins of course we had to retrieve balls off floor many times And let them get prize & candy Then I went to Alexs last night I got walk in water aerobics and bike in too
I’m working on tea towel this morning I’m giving a friend at Church Sunday Tuesday night I had potato soup and cinnamon apples that were delicious
Maryz My CA liked to care for his own clothes too as long as he was able He didn’t mind if I give them away
I haven’t started quilt yet I will probably wait until after Christmas I have quite a bit going on now My friend here called me to your House the other day to show me her quilt It was beautiful She used Fall colors She sells most on line
I love just looking at them
Tina I too lose things I try to keep my papers all organized I sure hope it’s mixed in with other ones & you find it
I still haven’t found CAs shirts I saved to make bears out of Plus other items With the way my moves went so hastily I am not surprised I can live without it
I choose salad and grilled chicken Sounds like a broken record lol

Good Evening,

Dinner tonight was Vegetable Soup.

I did get my Covid Shot which was third in line after the Flu Shot and RSV Shot. We spaced them two weeks apart. I am having a slight reaction, but nothing serious so far. I also got a manicure and went grocery shopping. Then I sewed the binding onto the front of the Halloween quilt. I will sew the back down by hand. I sewed the label into the binding, so it is halfway on the quilt.

Becca - Glad you got your exercise in. I did walk today. My dinners sound like a broken record too.

Tina - I had my hair cut a couple of weeks ago and am getting my teeth cleaned on the 13th of November. Hope you found the paper today.

Maryz - Hope your haircut is at least a good one. Not fair of hairdresser to "highlight" you to white hair! The good thing is that when Amara is 20 years old, she will see you as having "white/blond" hair. Hope it grows out quickly!! We do not need any other shots either! Congratulations on being all caught up on your shots. Glad tomorrow is just for you and Bill.

I will begin sewing down the binding this evening.

Carol

Mary, bummer about the hair. Maybe you could die it your normal color before pictures. I used to highlight my hair when I was a teenager back in the70's. They came out with stuff you could paint on your hair. It looked really good then. I've never died my hair. It's too much work to keep it up. I like your response to Bill about the clothes. lol

Carol, you're going to get your Halloween quilt done just in time.

Tina, you know the paper is probably where you left it. When you least expect it, you'll find it.

I did running around and shopping today. I also got a November lotto block made.

Dinner was at one of our favorite local restaurants. We had chicken wings and strips with a salad.

Sleep well.
