We're stormy here this morning. I walk every morning unless it's raining really hard and/or windy. I won't walk in wind. Good way to get bonked by flying limbs, especially limbs that are stressed from no rain for so long and are still full of leaves.
Yesterday I finished 12 lemurs and got started making face units, ears, etc on the remaining 8. And then I sat and watched the Seahawks win. I got some good work done on Amara Kumquat's Christmas stocking, too. Our deck evenings are done for the year so I have better and more light now that we're inside again so maybe things will go faster with that stocking. I'm about half-way finished.
Today's plan - lemurs! Hopefully finish them up. And I have to make a short grocery run either today or tomorrow. Tomorrow is also going to be house-uglies. And lots of them! I'm hosting my former co-workers (our birthday club) for lunch on Wed. We've always been four, sometimes five former nurses and have gotten together 2x/yr for about 25 yrs. But sadly, two of them passed away this past winter so we'll only be three now. I plan on making green chili chicken enchiladas for them.
TINA - fun to have most of your favorite people at your new table! So carne asada fries..... meat cooked in spicy sauce and served over or with fries? It sounds delicious. You always have interesting regional dishes! Are you working on Christmas quilts today?
LORI - line dancing is fun and such great exercise! Bill and I first met at dance classes back in 1989 (though we both started with different partners and didn't become a couple until July 4, 1990). Eventually many people in our dance class formed a dance club - The Guns & Garters - and within the dance club we formed an exhibition dance team with 12 couples. We put on shows here and there and we performed line dances, choreographed country waltz, country cha cha, two step, solo couples routines, and more. It was a lot of fun! I'm glad you're enjoying it. Your hubby doesn't know what he's missing!
BECCA - I'm glad you have a relaxing hobby. And it's good to step outside your comfort zone from time to time and challenge yourself, like with your landscape. You may find you like that genre of painting again. Or you may confirm your 'hang up' and stick with still life!

I haven't given supper a thought yet. Hmmm..... Given the weather I doubt Bill is going to want to stand out at the BBQ and grill anything. Maybe we'll just have poached eggs. Or I could quick thaw a small pork roast. And that's what I think I'll do. Not sure yet what the 'sides' will be as they may change if I go to the store today instead of tomorrow. Salad for sure because we have greens to eat up.
What's the plan at your house?
