Supper Club. Sat April 29

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Apr 29, 2023 6:22 am

Good morning,

Had such a nice day yesterday. We visited our own club winery, tasted wine right from the barrels, bought some, and they gave us 2 nice wineglasses. The second winery was high on a hill and we sat out in adirondack chairs and enjoyed the view of the town and valley below. They brought tiny tastes to us every 5-10 min and told us about each wine as we tasted. We visited w/ server and bought a few bottles. Then had late lunch at a pub in town. Sat out in the evening and had long enjoyable visit with our host. This is an idyllic place. Now. In another month temps will be in 90’s while we will be in 70’s at home. Then home will be idyllic! I don’t do 90’s.

Today we will be driving back over the mtns on I-90 (Snoqualmie Pass) to home. 5-6 hrs. Weather will be good. We’ve had A great relaxing trip but home sounds nice and I’m ready.

Irish, sorry you’re not quite feeling up to your yard right now. Thank goodness you have a loving son close by to help. Does your community have any kind of yard service options available? We need to send you a pot of chicken soup!

Lori, the new guild sounds like a lot of fun. Heck! Your whole life sounds like a lot if fun! Loved your spool quilt.

Becca, so glad that Gabe’s surgery went well. Praying it was completely successful.

Carol, so how many different projects do you have going right now?

Jana, how’s the arm? Sometimes I try to do things left-handed. Especially write. Arghh!!

I have no clue about supper tonight. It’s going to be such a nice evening at home that maybe I will take chicken out to thaw while we travel and we can grill when we sit on the deck. I can bake a couple potatoes and toss a salad – easy Peezy supper. Guess I had a clue after all! 😁

Have you got a plan yet?

Mary, your day wine tasting and relaxing sounds wonderful. I'm going to Sister's OR in July for the quilt show. We hope to find a few wineries while we are there.

Not much going on today. Jack took me for a walk, I came home and made buttermilk pancakes for breakfast, and now I'm here. I'll probably work on my houses a bit today. Need to get out the Cricut and cut out some dogs.

Dinner will be teriyaki chicken, rice, and zucchini.

Have a lovely day.
