SUPPER CLUB - Wed, April 12th
Good morning!
We're 39* but dry! Yay!!
Yesterday was a productive day. I have my crazy quilt 3/4 quilted. Will probably finish it today. It will be 420" of binding so that will be a job. I'll do it by machine but it will still be a workout just managing the weight of it. I also rec'd my March lotto winnings, so I got those all squared up and laid out how I want them so if time permits, I might start putting them together, too.
Our grandsons came for dinner last night and Alec also brought his friend so we had a nice evening with all the boys. Today is only chiropractor for me. If it's warm-ish outside this afternoon, I might go out and do a little yard work. I keep waiting for warm weather but so far it just ain't happening.
CAROL - yes, I do get Bird Brain e-mails. But I'm so backed up right now on cross-stitch projects and my hands just won't cooperate any longer. So it's slow going. If I ever get through these last two projects - it will be years - they will most likely be my last.
BECCA - your post was full of news! I hope Brodee is OK. That must have been so scary for everyone. Congratulations on the new baby that is on the way! 25! Amazing! So, who is having the baby? Which family will he/she be joining? And when is the due date? So good to hear Carol is home! And Baby Frankie is "on the gain"! It sounds like a beautiful place you are visiting. Is all that property your son's? Lovely!
JANA - good to hear your landscapers are finally able to move in! Your yard will be a showplace soon! Arghhh!! Cleaning two upright freezers - what a job you had! We don't haven any extra freezers here - just the bottom of our house fridge and the top of our garage fridge. And neither are very full at the moment. Did you have the pierogi's? We get the ones at Costco, too. Judi makes hers from scratch. I want to try that sometime. . . later.
We sent all our leftovers home with the boys last night. All we have left is apple pie and the last of the carrot cake. So new food is in order. I just took chicken out of the freezer but how to fix it is still up in the air - grill it? Chix parm? Chix stroganoff? A sheet pan dinner? I'll think of something.
What are you thinking of for tonite?

Good morning!
The crew is here starting! Whoo hoo! I did the run to school this morning and now back home with just Miss Lila. It's our run everywhere Wednesday. So since I have leftovers, pork tenderloin, I'll chop it up and do pork tacos for dinner. Right now chocolate croissants are baking for my breakfast. Michael is already fed.
My nephew is staying at Sandee's. He has extreme trouble doing stairs, but at Sandee's, we have set him up a space with all he needs, upstairs, but he only needs to go up there once. That's where her bedrooms and bathrooms are. There's a large open area left that we set up a recliner, TV, computer and small refrigerator. A microwave will be added today. He's good. The basement will be made into a apartment and a stair chair added for his use. We are hoping that with him getting his meds properly, on time and watched over, he will improve with his health issues. The witch, refused to go get his meds on time and he was constantly out. He is insulin dependent too. She also took all of his medical ID cards to control when he goes to seek help. Uggh! It makes me cringe at what she did, does and doing! We do have a attorney now and he's not worried. OK-
The crew are busy beavers! Need to be a sidewalk superintendent,
Hugs,
Jana

Mary, glad you had a nice time with the boys. Sound like the crazy quilt is almost finished. Woohoo!
Jana, I don't understand how people can be so controlling and manipulative. What purpose does it serve anyone?
Becca, nice you are having warm weather. We are only 58 so far today. A bit chilly for my liking.
The butterfly quilt is coming along. And yes Mary, it's the one with the daisy sashing. Super easy. I don't have a pattern, but I watched the video and was able to figure it out. I need to work on my taxes a bit today.
Dinner will be chili since it is chilly today.
Have a lovely day.

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Wed, April 12th
Hi supper club! I am working on new throw pillow covers for our bed. Using a doily on front of each. Tonight is dance night and supper is at restaurant. I was all set to make taco salad and DH reminded me that it was dance night. So tomorrow is taco night. Also I get hair cut tomorrow. I am going very short this time. I am ready for a new do!
Glad to read all the happenings from all of you.
Back to my project now.

First stage dine - dirt gone and I have a flat yard again! Well in the front. They are studying the next bit of work for the backyard. The firepit area is somewhat shaped. Paths are too. They're coming back next week or so. Sprinklers are next. Happy dance here!
