We've had wind for last 24 hours. I really REALLY don't like wind! A little bit of rain, off and on. But at least no snow!
Yesterday I did some uglies, spent time with Bill before he left for Oregon, and cut out my first (of four) shirts. Today - a load of wash and working on that shirt. If the wind dies down, I'll go out and do a couple short errands later this morning. Bill made it to Portland and met up with Bob at Bob's son's home. This morning they will pick up that trailer, then the motorcycle, and start for LaGrande. They will be driving east on I-84 along the Columbia River, a very windy route sometimes, and it looks like today will is going to be one of those times.
CAROL - I hope you got that nice, quiet day to yourself! You have a storm moving in, too? Seems like everyone has bad weather coming their way! I thought you had a sit down quilting machine, but then, when you said Handi-quilter I thought I might be wrong. But I was wrong!

BECCA - I know you are busy at your house. It's a difficult time for you. I hope you packed the hugs I sent!
TINA - Good to see you here. I'm happy to hear you seem to be improving. What are you working on that is keeping you so busy and distracted? Pork roast with all the trimmings sounds delish!
VELDA - a 20x90 in scrap of batting sounds very usual. I think the most common batting is 90" wide. We buy it by 40 yd bolts. Sometimes when piecing the scraps I loosen my tension a bit so it doesn't pucker so much. Also, I have used that iron on tape. Cindy uses one-sided fusible interfacing that she cuts into narrow strips. Cheaper than the tape. But however you do it, I admire your using every little bit!
JANA - good on Kate! I know it's grueling, but I'm sure I have no idea just how grueling it really is! You could always add a Q&A portion to your talk. Or maybe a coughing fit to take up those few extra minutes. Or simply speak more slowly. lol! I'm sure 2 minutes isn't going to make a difference. In fact, sometimes things go differently than planned and it might be nice to have a few extra minutes "built in". And you bet I'm matching plaids! Or at least, I'm making the effort. We'll see how well I've done when I start sewing. I make a similar chix dish - flatten chicken breasts, bread them with Panko crumbs, and bake. I top with a white sauce flavored with Dijon mustard.
LORI - sorry about all the unsewing. It happens to the best of us! I had one day when I was working on Bigfoot when everything I sewed was wrong. And each of those tree blocks was the same as I had been sewing the days before. What happened?? The next day (thankfully, the last one!) I was back on track again.
For my supper I think I'll make poached eggs! I love poached eggs for supper and I think I will add a little bit of queso on top since we have a jar of that open. I need something green so for lunch I'll make myself a spinach salad.
What's the supper story at your house?
