Supper Club Friday, Nov 18
Good morning,
Long day in the saddle yesterday but what a nice evening. We are parked out in the desert by ourselves. On BLM land where you can just camp wherever you find a spot. There are some other RVs out here as well but not close to us. We sat outside and enjoyed a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Scotty loved finally being off leash and even Foxy came out and sat with us for a while. Sometimes life is pretty good.
Becca, so glad the acupuncture helped you. I have heard many people get good results but a few it does nothing for. Hope Marc and Denise are doing OK. How is Mark‘s recovery coming along?
Tina, did you get results of Frankies x-ray yet? What is next for him?
Carol, we were at California adventure‘s in 2010. I really enjoyed that big inner tube ride down the river. I don’t know what it’s called. My BFFs DGD worked for almost 3 years at the Cars restaurant there.
Lori, now we are in Arizona! I tried to post a picture of everything I bought at Thimble Towne but post image doesn’t always want to cooperate when we are traveling. I bought the Santa and Mrs. Claus. I think Mrs. Claus was called “Holly“. I saw the pineapple pattern last year but didn’t buy it. There is also a snowman I really like.
Jana, when will work start on finishing Sandi‘s basement?
Pardon all my misspellings. Dictating on my phone and I try to proofread but sometimes don’t catch it all. And my phone really likes to find its own ways to spell names. Lol!
Tonight we are going to get out our grill and do a tenderloin. Will also fix potatoes in some way and a salad. This will give us leftovers for tomorrow
Do you know yet what you’re having?

Re: Supper Club Friday, Nov 18
Good late afternoon!
Ever have one of those days, that you should have stayed in bed? This is one of them!
I was hemming a pair of suit pants for our friend - I had the right length measured up to be where the hem was to finish at - so I then proceeded to whack off the extra length - not leaving me any for turning in to the sew! So I figured out a way to save my mistake - I careful y took the length I cut off, serged it back on and shortened my length by 1/4 of a inch. So on the inside you can see a seam around the bottom, then I had enough for the hem. But wait - that's not the only mistake I did on that hem! I completely sewed one pant leg correctly, with the improvised hem repair, but on the other leg, I started to cut off right where I had serged the piece back on! but only for about 1 inch, so I quickly fixed that by serging a little deeper and then carefully cutting off the right length this time! You can't see my mistake, but if our friend isn't happy, I will buy him a new suit and have someone else do the hems! This is the first time that I have ever done a mistake like this and it will be the last! I will say no to anyone who needs me to sew for them. I guess I have gotten too old for this! And on top of all this, my serger decided that it needed to give me fits too. It has been doing that for a time now, so I told Scrooge, that he could get me a new one - nothing fancy, just a basic serger. This one might go through the window - upstairs, with the window open to the ground. Window open as I don't want to deal with a broken glass window in the cold!
Dinner - out I hope!
Hope that your day is and has been better than mine!
Hugs,
Jana

Jana, oopsie. Hope it all works out okay.
Becca, the desert is an amazing place.
Mary, one of my friends is from Bakersfield and goes out there often to see family. She say that's a really nice shop. There's another one she goes to as well. Don't know the name. Gas prices should be way better there.
Carol, I already ordered 2 of the patterns for Wander Lane. I wanted to see if it is something I would like before I committed to a BOM. They are very cute.
Did some grocery shopping and went to Barnes and Nobel for some books. I also found a cute box of Christmas cards.
Dinner will be teriyaki chicken, rice and broccoli.
Have a lovely evening.

Good Afternoon,
Maryz - Enjoy the storytelling this evening!
Jana - Oh no! Hope you don't have to buy a new suit.
Becca - Thank you I enjoyed the day.
Lori - Your day sounds similar to mine. I mailed cards, bought stamps, went to Target and the Grocery store. Did some practicing on sewing a shamrock. (Be patient you will see soon.)
I have made three small quilts this year and have decided to sell them in the Consignment booth at the Guild quilt show. I have been accumulating too many quilts that I do not have anyone to give them to. These quilts are too small for CASA and too nice for Nursing Homes. The Guild takes 20% of the proceeds. I would like to get a little money to make more quilts.
Dinner will be Parmesan Chicken.
Carol
