SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Nov 12
Good morning,
Today is launch day. But a late start. Usually our first day is about 350 miles to Seven Feathers Casino - 100 miles north of CA border. They have a very beautiful, very expensive RV park, but they also have a free overnight parking lot for RVers, too. Guess which one we stay in! But Bill decided if we leave this afternoon, we can get a jump start of about 50 miles and make tomorrow's run shorter. We prefer days about 250 miles as we aren't as young as we used to be so I can go along with my driver on this. If we don't leave pretty soon, we'll just keep on packing more stuff into the trailer! lol! I have a load of wash to do this morning, a short grocery run for things I forgot on Thursday, and we have to pick up our mail one last time. After today UPS will forward our regular mail every two weeks and friend, Doyle, will pick up any packages that may arrive.
Today is Chickie's birthday. I doubt she will see this, but just in case - happy birthday, Chickie!
LORI - sorry about your friend, but I think she would have been honored to be remembered the way she was - on Veteran's Day! God bless her soul! And Tina and I were all over that quilt pattern! She found it through the link, and we had it ordered within an hour! lol!
CAROL - You have this half-tree quilt going, too?! Tina and I are both scratching our heads trying to figure out how this one got by us both. The tree is the best part of the quilt - it gives such a unique perspective - kind of like we're looking down on Whoville from up on the Grinch's mountaintop. What is your challenge quilt like?
BECCA - how is the baby quilt coming along?
TINA - We've seen several brands of those gutter guards. But we don't think they'd keep out tiny fir needles. Plus, they are very expensive. How is Frankie? You mentioned jaw pain. Did the rest of you have that when you were sick? Not to alarm anyone, but that is a classic, often ignored, symptom of heart attack. So is nausea, sweating, dizziness, and chest and shoulder pain. But you said at his last episode, they did an EKG and blood work, didn't you?
We still have our leftover mac'n'cheese and pork chops to eat up so I decided we're going to have a big lunch at home before we go and then just a sandwich for supper tonite so I don't have to do that big cooking in the trailer.
What's your supper plan?
I will try to keep up with the forum but I'll only have my phone for the next two weeks. so if anyone stops in and the table isn't set yet, please feel free to get things going!

Good Morning,
Happy Birthday Miriam aka Chickie! We miss you. You used to give such beautiful descriptions of the sky.
Maryz - Safe travels. Did you see the Riley Blake kits on sale? There is a very cute one that is sewing themed.
Becca - Sorry CA had a rough night. I am sure you need to rest as well after three bad days. Take care of yourself.
The challenge quilt is 24 x 24 and will have very bright colored flying geese. It is designed like the Modern Migration quilt. I will have one set of geese cross another set of geese paths and am working on that.
Dinner last night was Teriyaki Chicken. Dinner tonight will be Marinated Chicken. We have leftover potatoes we can eat with it.

Mary, I'm sure you are already on the road. Safe travels. That's funny about you two buying the pattern. I would have given it to you, but I gave it away after I was finished. I knew I would never make it again.
Becca, my heart goes out to you. It's a difficult time. Hope you can get the quilt done today.
Tina, glad Mary mentioned about the symptoms of a heart attack. I was going to post something, but I didn't want to scare you. Hope Frankie went to get checked out.
Carol, that sounds like a fun challenge.
Happy birthday Chickie. Hope you are well and enjoying your day.
I'm going to sew today. Maybe I should post a picture of the pattern I'm using in case Mary wants to make it. lol
Dinner will be chicken, potatoes with onion on the grill, and multi colored cauliflower.
Have a lovely day.

Hi everyone!
I'm finally doing laundry! I have 10 days of laundry to do

that's what happens when the maid gets sick ugh..... well I've actually done bed clothes in between a couple times but not the everyday laundry. So much!
Mary safe travels! Frankie is some better, I already told him what his jaw pain and fainting could be.... it could be even worse after I take a rolling pin to him
Chickie, happy happy birthday! I miss your descriptive posts too
Becca, I'm so sorry CA has had such bad days, hugs to you, take a nap and take care of you too ❤
Carol, let us see your challenge quilt when you get it finished please.
Lori, no he wouldn't go to the dr, he can be very stubborn. He used to not be that way about going but the last couple years he sure has been. In January when his other insurance kicks maybe he'll be more willing.
. I told him all the things that could happen but he doesn't listen some times.
Oh yes please, show us what pattern your working in now
I was thinking of making something for supper..... what was it
if I don't remember does that mean I don't have to cook?

Tina

Good afternoon!
Way late here.
Happy Birthday Chickie - I hope it is a very enjoyable day!
Well, the desk is moved and in it's temporary home. Karlie is overjoyed at all the space in her "new room". The little loveseat sofa that was in there, fits perfectly underneath her bed. Her bed is a loft that Daniel built. So all the Barbie houses,, cars,, etc,, now are more accessible and so is the toy cubbies. New rules too,, toys stay in the room! Not all over the house! Kari is also sorting out Karli too small clothes which fit Lila. Good wins all around.
Dinner - what ever you can find - no one will go hungry!
Been busy upstairs, so haven't made it down to the Batt Cave.
I finished up all the grandkids Christmas shopping and Ethan's BD present too. All that's left is a couple of my big kids - Matt, Daniel and Kari. And then there's Scrooge.
Becca - oh how I wish I lived near to lend you support and a helping hand. You are a jewel!
Lori - love those new quilts - they are so wonderful!
Carol - yes, we want to see the challenge quilt! Your work is terrific!
Mary- short bites of traveling makes it easier! You could have come through this way - the snow is holding off for awhile. Stay safe!
Tina - men! They can be pills! Hope you get the siding painted before it goes up. It's so much easier that way. Michael is just the opposite about going to the doctor - he gets not feeling well, and bam, he's off to the doctor's office. Now me, you can't drag me there - good thing I rarely get sick!
Well, it's getting dark outside and the temp is falling fast. 20's or lower again tonight.
Hugs,
Jana
