SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Nov 3rd
Good chilly morning,
We're solidly into Nov now. The weeks just keep rolling by and picking up speed! Only 51 days until Christmas! I actually whipped through some Christmas shopping for Bill yesterday. Now to figure out how to pack it all to TX without him seeing it. I also FINISHED MY STOCKING! That is a huge hooray for me! I got it washed and today I'll make it into a sock. And then hide that in the trailer, too. I think I'll wait until we get to Texas and put up the few decorations we have and see how long it takes him to notice he has a new stocking - with a vintage red truck full of trees and presents! Purrfect for him.
Today is massage day. So I'll be at that 11:00am appointment, and then home to finish the stocking and clean up my room. And if I have time, I'll make some labels for the 3 Nutcracker quilts.
TINA - yay! You're here! Sorry your get up and go got up and went, but resting is the key. You'll feel a little better each day. Those pinwheels were delicious. There were no leftovers! And I can see putting different ingredients in them. I'd spice them up a little more for myself, but probably not as spicy as your little brother's! I've made alfredo pizzas, too, and also used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, both especially good with chicken. But I had a jar of red pizza sauce open that needed to be used so that dictated my choice.
BECCA - you are really pouring on the coal with those blocks! I'd still be hunting up my embroidery hoop!
LORI - so sorry to hear Jack is under the weather. I hope he didn't catch Tina's cold. Glad he's going to the doctor. Scottie's dr retired as of last Monday. Tonite we're going to a little send off gathering for her. I put Scottie's cone in a gift back with a big bow and a tag that says, "To Dr. Carla, from Scottie". I know she'll get a laugh out of that!
CAROL - glad your skin check went well. You really crammed a lot into your yesterday! But what a productive day! I hope you can stay home today and play with your toys.
Tonights supper is going to be that "everything but the kitchen sink" leftover pizza. And a salad. I'm hungry already.
What's whetting your appetite?

Good Morning,
Maryz - Congratulations on getting not only the stocking done, but also the other gifts for Bill. You are awesome!
Jana - Reading about Karlie's fascination with snow reminds me of a wonderful book entitled "Snowflake Bentley" by Mary Azarian. Do a Google Search and there is even a read-aloud on youtube. May I also make a suggestion you cut six-sided paper snowflakes? (All snowflakes are six-sided.) It is a real teaching moment since she is so fascinated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtyLpo3cWic
Tina - Hope you feel better. Here is a suggestion for a virtual escape
https://allaccessdisneyland.com/virtual ... j2cQKCj7bM
Becca - All of us have endured poor customer service. It can be so frustrating! Hope you have a wonderful day today.
Lori - Hope Jack is back to feeling better after the visit to the veterinarian.
Yesterday was a day I stayed home. The wind was blowing (and still is blowing) as the cold front passed through. I got the hanging sleeve and labels sewn to Modern Trees so that is ready for the February Quilt Show. Now I need to get other quilts ready which means one needs to be sewn together and another needs a border both will need to be quilted.
Today we will vote in person. Also, a trip to the meat market and grocery store. Dinner tonight will be chicken.
Carol

Good morning everyone!
Mary, yay another finish
wonder how long it'll take Bill to notice, he might surprise you. I've started making a Christmas list so I'll be ready. I mostly buy online since we only have a Walmart here but we'll see, I miss shopping in person.
Carol, thank you, that's awesome! I sent the link to my email so I can enjoy it over and over LOL
Lori, let us know what the vet says, I sure hope he's ok.
Becca, you sure are getting those blocks done fast!
Jana, I love snow ❄
I slept almost 9 hours last night and Frankie slept almost 10! I think we must've needed it.
We're under a wind advisory today and it's overcast so I'm staying in hopefully.
I think supper will be soup of some kind, just need to see what I have.
Tina

Thanks for you concern for Jack. He is better today like nothing was wrong. We went to the vet, but they had an emergency and we were not seen. I made an appointment for today, but canceled it, because he is back to his normal self. I have her work up his blood work at his normal check up.
Tina, you must have needed the sleep. I hope you feel rested today.
Carol, we're getting wind today. It is a cool wind. I had to bundle up on my walk this morning.
Mary, glad you got the stocking done. I bet that was a big project.
I'm going up to help my dad pay his bills today. He's getting more and more confused. He's 89 so it's probably normal. I got a binding sewn onto the Elephant quilt. Will get that sewn down over the weekend.
Dinner will be potato ham soup. It's a prefect day for soup.
Have a lovely day.
