Supper Club. Thursday, Sept 1st

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Sep 01, 2022 5:44 am

Good morning

Our last morning in camp. We have had such sketchy cell service I haven’t even tried to post. I only have my phone.

We have had a great trip, explored the old campgrounds where our parents took us as kids. Had some relaxing time in camp, played dominoes and cards and had some great breakfasts and dinners cooked outside. One morning we even had 30 elk stop by. We later learned this Area is the largest population of Roosevelt elk in the country. Seems like they should be higher up in the mountains this time of year, not here they are at sea level, but maybe with such dry conditions there isn’t much to eat or in the mountains. Or maybe they just like park grass . They hung around for over an hour munching on the grass in the middle of our camping loop. It was amazing how quiet all the dogs in the campsites were. Even our Scottie.

But this morning it’s time to pack up and go home. We are about an hour and a half from home. This afternoon I will be emptying the food and clothes from the trailer and getting some wash started. Or, if my sister needs to do laundry, I will let her have the w/d first.

Jana, I see Kate is testing today. Good luck to her though I doubt she needs it! Your little girls certainly keep you on your toes!

Becca, you really have had some stresses in your life lately. I hope CA Doesn’t have any lasting effects from his fall. Remember, if he falls again and you can’t get him up 911 will always be happy to come help you. ❤️

Carol, how scary to find powerlines down like that. Glad you noticed them and I hope they got fixed pronto!

Lori, I saw your Halloween quilt. It will be fun to put out next month. I just put mine out before we left. I was tired of my summary ones.

Tina, how is the new little baby? I hope you were able to get your smoocher on him this week!

Thanks to everyone who started supper club this week. I sure missed you guys but it was nice to get away and I enjoyed spending time with my sister and brother-in-law. They will be with us until next Tuesday when they will start back to CO after the Labor Day traffic has cleared. My DD#1, Lara, and her DH visiting tomorrow morning. They drove across country from VA and are spending Labor Day weekend in Puget sound, probably staying with their son in Bremerton. They said they are coming to breakfast tomorrow morning. I have leftover cooked onion/peppers/mushrooms so I am going to mix them with eggs and bacon bits and hashbrowns and put them in the crockpot late tonight for breakfast tomorrow. It’s a great aroma to wake up to!

Tonight, I will either pull out our frozen leftover lasagna from two weeks ago, or cut up leftover grilled chicken, and pork tenderloin and add it to leftover rice from last night. It will make a great one pot meal. I will probably put green beans on the side. I will see what the crowd here prefers

What are all of you having for supper tonight?

Good morning!

My Lila is playing quietly for the moment, before we go off to preschool. When we dropped the girls last night, Aaron showed Michael his new work truck. It's a dual cab truck, with 1/4 of the backseat, set up as jail cage to transport the criminals. Which Aaron never does, but his truck just came that way. So he got Michael to sit back the and got a picture of his dad behind the bars.. of course, he quickly posted it to the family site..

Dinner- Daniel bought a red or purple cauliflower, which Karlie loves, so we will have that with cheese sauce and some kind of protein.

Doing laundry and a few other uglies. They always need doing with more people in the house. Kitty has warmed up a bit more. She let's me hold her for a couple of minutes. The other day I was in my sewing chair, which she claims as hers, and I was promptly told off in no uncertain meows!

Time to feed my Lila before she goes to preschool,

Hugs,
Jana

Hi everyone!
I've been in my sewing room off and on today, finished those burp clothes and finished another little thing. I have to take breaks but at least I'm getting to sew.
I need to pay bills and balance the checkbook.

Secret Santa needs some more to sign up if any of you are interested.

I'm not sure about supper yet LOL guess I need to get to thinking on that.

Good afternoon. I'm going to another quilt guild tonight to sell opportunity tickets for our guild. So I'll just grab something before I go. Don't know what.

Went down to the beach for breakfast this morning. It was really pretty. It's been hot, hot, hot here. Going to stay that way for another week and a half. I'm ready for some cooler weather.

Have a lovely evening.
