SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, July 17th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jul 17, 2022 6:25 am

Good morning,

It's a very beautiful, quiet morning here. Very still outside. We were promised drizzle, but I don't think that is going to happen. Just clouds and 67* today.

My computer is back! Apparently HP "updated" it. And the update had a big flaw so then a "patch" was needed to fix it. I'm so fortunate that Bill knows computers inside and out. He was able to do this. Otherwise, I'd have had to go to a "confuser" repair place.

Yesterday I finished my tablerunner, made a scrappy binding for Star Bright, and trimmed my calendar swap blocks. Today, if I have time, I'll put the calendar quilt together. I was thinking of making a border of 5" squares of various holiday and vacation fabrics . . . We also have to go to the grocery store and Costco.

TINA - glad you found a groomer you like. I hope they aren't too expensive. We're paying about $80 - $85 for Scottie. I pay $28 for me. Tells you something, doesn't it! Have fun at the reunion today!

CAROL - way to work the LQS run! Birthday discounts! You got a lot of fun new stuff! I always wash my fabrics before they even come into my sewing room. If I don't the excess fabric dust and sizing clog me up. I like to dry fabrics on the clotheslines if weather permits.

JANA - I'm glad Daniel is done with the move! Do you think Kari's parents will ever move to UT, too? And good news that Matt finally got his car! Now that didn't take too long, did it?

VELDA - I haven't made any tote bags for a while, but when I do, I use the Pellon fusible sort-of-stiff batting. It comes in a green box. Probably the most expensive way to buy it, but I don't use it often.

I can't decide on supper tonite. Since we're going shopping today, it could be anything! Bill is having his exercise class friends over tomorrow for brats and campfire so whatever we eat tonite, I don't really want leftovers because we'll have them from tomorrow's BBQ, too. Maybe just grilled cheese and soup . . .

Have you decided on your supper tonite?

Good morning!

Sunny, hot and not a cloud in sight. No wind either. Breezes are welcome.

Daniel is home. So glad for that. His truck ran beautifully. The engine temperature ran right where it should be all the way here. It was a long trip, 1200 or so miles. Karlie is a very happy little pixie to have Daddy home.

Sarah's DH, Joseph is doing well. Just needing a bit of a wardrobe fix. I am fixing some shorts with velcro for him. Sarah offered him a skirt to wear, that was turned down quicker than a blink of an eye! He can get around quite well. He is allowed some weight on the leg, but absolutely no bending for the next 3 weeks or so.

Matt's new car is a loaded Chevy Tahoe, diesel, a 2022 model. The original order was for a 2021, but since it was a build to order and it's a year later, it's this current year model. It will tow and seats 8. They need 7 seats all the time. Enoch, his truck only seats six, so when they go out 9n a camping trip, Matt tows the 5th wheel and Crenda follows with their side by side. The side by side seats five, so they take turns exploring with it. The Tahoe is a odd gray, that looks different colors in varying sunlight. A tan interior.

Dinner - we will see what the kids are up to as to what happens.

Church is 8n a few minutes and I need to get decent! Find a face in the drawer too.

Hugs,
Jana

Hi everyone!
We didn't do anything with the reunion today, we were too wiped out. So we did a few things around the house and yard and rested and took a nap..... We were up past midnight.
Mary, glad Bill could fix your puter. This groomer charges $45 each, we were only paying $25 for both before but they had to go every 2 weeks for that price. You sure have gotten a lot finished up lately.
Jana, glad Daniel is home now and all that traveling back and forth is done. Matt's Tahoe sounds awesome!
I didn't get the laundry finished yesterday but I've got the last load in the dryer now.
Supper tonight will be popcorn I think LOL, we've eaten too many big meals these past couple of days.

Good Afternoon,

Maryz - Like Tina said, you have gotten a lot done! I lost track of the Irish Chain. I thought Bill had a couple more passes, but now I think it is done, bound and labeled. Wow! You are fast.

Jana - The Tahoe sounds wonderful. May his family enjoy many happy memories traveling in it. You sound like you are enjoying having family in the house, so glad Daniel is done with his traversing the states.

Tina - Glad you enjoyed the food and the family. A little rest is a good thing.

I had to do some shopping today. I ordered a pair of pants and needed to pick them up at the store. I also went to Jo-Ann's to find the rings I use for my handbags. I bought fabric for two handbags this past week. I will be working on them in the near future.

Dinner tonight will be Roast Chicken Breast. I just put it in the oven. I will go out in a few minutes to put on the potatoes and make a salad.

Carol
