SUPPER CLUB - Friday, July 8

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Jul 08, 2022 4:01 am

Good morning,

Dog woke us up, fussing, this morning. His father took him out, he peed, and now he thinks it's time for breakfast. So he may have gotten me up at 3:15 but he's not going to be rewarded with food at this hour!

Yesterday I finished all my little stars - 255! Hooray! I think I"ll put a few together today to see how it's going to look. Also, Bill is nearing the end of the Irish Chain but the batting was running short so I had to take a scrap, 100" x 12" and hand stitch it on. After that, I just relaxed for 1/2 hour before we went to our friends for happy hour and hefty appetizers which was our supper. We were home and in jammies by 6:30. My kind of evening out!

Today, besides playing a bit with my stars, I need to do a few uglies and run to the store. It's going to be a bit of everything kind of day. Probably wash sheets and put them on the line, too.

JANA - this was certainly one birthday Aaron will never forget! And through it all, Kate is calmly trying to cook! Love hearing all the exciting stories of his job!

TINA - we're happy to have the d/w delivered the 13th. The first delivery date the new store gave us was Aug 8 but he said he'd see what he could do and called us back within 5 minutes and said July 13. We took it! Since we live on the Olympic Peninsula most businesses only send their delivery trucks once or twice a week. And yes, my little stars were one of my two traveling projects. But right now I have no other projects to work on. No UFO's, no comfort blocks even. So I decided to pull out the stars. I'm glad you've got your Christmas swap up now. I need something to sew! lol! Good luck cleaning at Dad's today. I hope you can get it all done in one afternoon. You inspired me with your enchilada casserole. I'm going to make it for our Oregon friends during their stay here. The purrfect meal! With salad and cornbread.

Well I didn't make the pizza last night. I forgot we were invited out for happy hour and we had ham & cheese roll ups, veggies, grapes, and apple squares with ice cream. So that pizza will be tonite instead.

What's your supper plan?

Good morning!

So far quiet and normal boring here! It needs to stay that way! Aaron did call and the Mayor wants his help in coordinating the city's response in helping the family where the woman barricaded herself. The city will fix damage done by SWAT. The homeowners insurance will fix the damage done by the woman. Also Aaron's shift will change, to the good for him. It will be more obvious between he and the other CSO, who actually gets the work done. We know who that is!

Dinner - there's an old ad/slogan from where I lived growing up - don't cook tonight, call Chicken Delight, well I don't even need to call - we have tons of leftovers! Pot Roast, gravy, rice chicken, salads, etc! Plus it's too hot to cook! Temp is predicted for 103 or more.

Heading down to the Batt Cave to play.

Mary - sounds like fun with friends coming this weekend. Ding dang furball!

Well, time to scoot,
Hugs,
Jana

Hi everyone!
I'm alive! I'm alive! I feel like I'm dying but I'm alive! LOL I hurt all over..... but Dad's house is clean! It took Holly, Jazmyne and me 4 hours and 15 minutes to clean his bedroom, his bathroom, the front bathroom, re clean the kitchen, do 3 loads of laundry and I vacuumed all the walls and evicted several spiders and tons of spider webs. I vacuumed the house again too. He says he's feeling some better and he did have some of the stuff from last week out of his bedroom or at least folded and I put it in the front bedroom to go back out to his motorhome. He even had his pile of shoes put away. I really hope he keeps his house better now. He just started feeling better from having covid plus his chemo injection. At least I feel better that he's in a clean house now.
Mary, your get together last night sounds really nice.
Jana, glad everything turned out good yesterday, that was kinda scary.
We're having the leftover enchilada casserole for supper.

Good Evening,

Pizza is in the oven for dinner.

My life has settled down to a boring routine, so not too much to share. I worked on making a receiving blanket to give to my niece for her baby shower. I will work on the matching burp cloths next.
