I hope you all have a wonderful day, whether with a crowd of noisy family or just yourselves. Our Drew is coming for brunch, but after he leaves, we'll be on our own. That's OK. I like Bill. He's good company.

Yesterday I grocery shopped, baked a coconut cake, sewed. Then we had long calls with Autumn and in the evening my sis and dbil. Aut caught us all up on what's going on. Antonio was out buying a suit, wedding bands are almost ready to pick up, and her ordered dress should arrive any day. They still didn't have a date picked, but finally, during our call, settled on May 17th. It's going to be a very small ceremony, probably outside some place. They really want to drive out to Santa Barbara and get married in the garden of their beautiful court house there. Apparently it's a beautiful courthouse. and then take a camping honeymoon to Grand Canyon on their way back to Austin. She didn't know that Bill and I camped at Grand Canyon on OUR honeymoon. and my parents camped on their honeymoon, too, back in 1934. I guess camping honeymoons are a tradition in our family.
Also, my brother, Gene, texted that he is making his plans to fly down from AK for a week in August to visit when both my sisters are here. So it looks like we're going to be pretty busy come August!
LORI - That's a pretty quilt. Both of them! I, of course, Googled it. Happy Birthday to Aunt Wanda! I'm sorry she is now without her twin. Bill's sister is also a twin and I know has a hard time on their birthday - her twin brother died very suddenly 20 years ago while only in his mid-40's.
CAROL - I hope you're feeling better today so you can enjoy the holiday. But a reaction to the shot is so much better than having even a light case of the disease! My Bill can testify to that.
JANA - I hope the family drama settles down soon and you can concentrate on getting ready for your grand-kitty's arrival!! BTW, yesterday after shopping I made burgers and a meatloaf to freeze. And I tried the milk/bread panade (?). Will report back when we try that loaf. It's a new thing to me.
BECCA - the spring rolls we had were frozen - from Costco. I'm sure homemade would be much better, though I've never made them myself. If you do, let us know how they were!
TINA - did you get all that baking done? I baked a cake but that's all. The problem we have when I bake anything is WE EAT IT! But I was in the mood to bake and craving coconut cake.
We're having french toast, sausages, and fruit for brunch when Drew gets here. Tonite- no one but us and I'll let Bill decide on supper - put something and veggies on the grill or meatloaf and potatoes into the oven. I'm guessing he's going to go for the grill because it's going to be a pretty nice day and he and Drew are going to mount our old 52" TV out on the covered deck on the house wall for summer living.
What are you having for Easter dinner?
