SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, April 14th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Apr 14, 2022 6:11 am

I can't believe April is already nearly half over. At the rate we're flying through this year, I better start pulling out the Christmas decorations after I finish the spring cleaning!

We got our second boosters yesterday afternoon. My arm is a little sore today. But glad to have the extra protection. Nothing is on our calendar today or tomorrow so I'm not sure what we'll be doing. Just too cold and wet to work outside. We have a "feels-like" temp of February!

CAROL - our friends' son was living in California and dating the daughter of a big producer so he got to go to a Hollywood party. His parents were asking who all was there and he named some start and "oh, yeah - some old guy named Andy Williams." One of his parents' singers! and the son had no idea who he was. lol!

BECCA - I like plants, but sometimes they aren't the best gift to receive. I was given a huge - very beautiful - outdoor color bowl in full bloom- as a good bye gift before we left on an extended trip! I had to give it away.

VELDA - so it sounds like you use just about half-yard for each bag. What a great project. Did you go dancing last night?

JANA - is your houe all back together again? Ready to be messed up again! lol!

TINA - happy anniversary to you two crazy kids! Hope you had a nice evening. and yes, the kids and grandkids had a great time with the 'secret passage' in our house. I had to make sure not to block the way through with 'stuff'!

I think tonite we'll have spring rolls with orange sauce and salad. Trying to find things that need to be eaten up.

What will you be eating up tonite?

Good morning all!
Mary, we were really cool yesterday which made it nice to clean the house all back up. Thank you, yes we had a nice evening. Dad and Easton and Preston joined us for supper. Easton ate a while T-bone steak on his own, he was sleepy and quiet after LOL Preston says he doesn't like steak so he had a grilled burger. The steaks were really yummy, we hardly ever get steaks but our local grocery store where we buy our meat had them on a really good sale.
I bet the kids all had fun under those stairs.
Becca, thank you too, it was a great day with us working together and cleaning the house. LOL then we got to spend time with grands, a great day.
Today I have Matthew! We're waiting for it to warm up a little so we can go feed the turtles and fish and water outside. I don't get to spend much time with him so I'll be making the most of our day today. Kevin is helping Frankie put those barn doors on.
Supper is going to be out at Si Senor, just the 2 of us tonight.

There are days when the best plans go astray and today was my day! I had a follow-up with the surgeon at 3:15 PM so I thought I would go over early and run a few errands nearby. Instead, I got a phone call and had to go sign a paper at the bank for the Guild. You know how banks are, you get there and you wait while they find the file etc. I did get one errand done. Becca this is why I admire your errand running! The surgeon took a short look and told me I didn't need to come back just keep doing what I have been doing. It looks great. It still is about the size of a quarter, but looks really good!

Tonight's dinner was Navy Bean Soup I found in the freezer when I was looking for cranberries which I do not have. Jana I should take an inventory as you do!

Tina - Enjoy your dinner out this evening.

Maryz - Glad Chiropractor did such a good job on your back. We will be getting 2nd booster tomorrow.

Do you know how to clean your pepper shaker? A little rubbing alcohol, put lid on and shake, dump contents, use soapy water with lid on and shake and then dump and rinse. The shaker looks like new! (I did have to scrub the top of the lid.)
