Sorry I didn't get here yesterday until late. My morning routine got interrupted by husband and dog and I never got back here. So you see, it really wasn't my fault.

Yesterday was a busy day for me. I got my 3 Wisemen finished on my quilt and the camel, the very last but by far, biggest block, is all cut out except for the background. I don't have enough fabric for that but I can get it started at least. I have more fabric at home (I hope!) that I ordered a few weeks ago so Mr. Camel will be going home incomplete.
A few hours of our afternoon were taken up with Covid tests. We had to drive 20 miles to another town, Edinburg. We should have our results back today via e-mail. Tomorrow at the latest. So today's plan is sewing for me and napping for Bill. Our friends are steering clear of us. Smart friends. Though they've had their own medical problems this week that resulted in ER visits - she had a fall/concussion and he had a very bad UTI. And both were in the ER a few weeks ago, too - bronchitis and a bad burn. Our other set of friends are doing well but starting to feel a little edgy around the rest of us, I would think.
TINA - thank you for finally noticing the table was bare and setting it! Do you always make your own guac? Yum!
JANA - Praying Sandee will be OK and Sarah, too. Is Sandee vaccinated? And I hope Michael gets the go-ahead for his booster today! You are right - we've all become lax in our Covid precautions. I think they call this Covid fatigue. Down here in So TX we see hardly any masking at all and lots of large group gatherings. Friends walked past the pool yesterday and sent us a photo of about 100 people gathered there. My sis said the same is going on in FL where they are. I want to go home to WA where everyone is much more careful!!
VELDA - good luck with your surgery today. Let us know how it goes when you are able. Great quilt! You've been working hard for such a good cause!
We ended up with some cheese and crackers for supper last night. We weren't hungry after a late lunch of ham and cheese sandwiches. Bill doesn't have much appetite. We'll see how he feels about supper tonite. I think I'll just plan on bacon and eggs, cooked outside. If he's more hungry than that we'll add pancakes or dehydrated hashbrowns.
What's causing your dinner bell to ring tonite?
