SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Dec 8

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed Dec 08, 2021 6:12 am

Good morning,

I overslept this morning after a 2-hour gap in my sleep last night. I slept away my morning Q-time and now I have to catch up. We got our trailer washed yesterday. He did a really nice job. Then we got our outdoor lights up and our trailer and campsite are as festive as we can make them. I spent the afternoon working on the second to last LOTR block. It's not finished yet and I'm not sure I can finish it this morning before we go to meet Kenn & Sue and Cindy for 4pm supper halfway between them and us. It's about 2-hr drive for each of us to meet. Will be good to see them and I have a whole invisible bag of hugs and howdies to deliver to them from everyone here.

TINA - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope your special day is just that - special! I'm sure your kids will make it so. I love those flowers. They look like blue lupine at home - even the leaves. But I'm sure they are meant to be blue bonnets down here. That was quite a video! I doubt my sis will go through Cruces coming home from FL. I think they intend to visit Al's son in KY so will come into CO on I-70 from the east. If not, Hwy 287 is their route of choice. Not sure where all that goes.

CAROL - in some larger parks we've seen "rig-washers" go around and get paid for washing people's RV's, but most parks don't allow it since they pay the water bill and it can make a mess of your site. This guy had his own big tank of water though I'm not sure where he fills it. Funny, out of the 400+ sites in the park he is only 30 feet away from us. How do you like your "sit and quilt" machine? Does it work well?

LORI - for not having a solid plan, your son has things pretty well mapped out! I think staying with your dad & brother is a great idea. Sounds like they could use his help. My brother, Jim's first RV was an old bread van he built inside himself. They had 4 more "real" RV's after that but that old van was always their favorite.

VELDA - sorry the cookie recipe wasn't a keeper. But now you know. Yes, Katy has been out of the loop lately, I think. I hope she's feeling better before the holidays. And I hope her SS gift arrives soon.

BECCA - there comes a time when we have to make adjustments to accommodate life. Most of our decorations are also stored under our stairway. Used to be no big deal for me to crawl under and drag them out. Now Bill has to do it, so I got rid of about 1/3 of our Christmas stuff and store half of what is left in my quilting room closet so it's easier to get to. And some I just don't bother putting up anymore so I really need to weed again. We are in TX about 2 years out of 3 now, so I don't need it all anymore.

Last night's burgers turned into grilled chicken, angel hair pasta, and green beans because someone forgot about buns. Tonite will be Mexican food at the restaurant.
Tamales? Enchiladas? Chili rellenos? I'm already hungry!

Good morning! I am so happy you get to meet with Cindy, Sue and Kenn. Do they live close enough to each other to ride together? I forgot just where Sue and Kenn are from. I know Cindy is near Houston. She is such a sweet gal. I can't remember if I met Sue at the Quilt show way back when. I might have, but memory is rusty. Regardless, I am sure you will give them hugs from all of us.
Today I started the eye drops in prep for Friday cataract surgery. My vision is getting so bad, that I am anxious to get this accomplished and get back to seeing clearly. 😉
Tonight is eating out at Amish, Yoder's Kitchen, and I think I will order chicken salad again.
Have a great day, everyone.
HUGS, 💕 Vel

Good morning!
Thank you Mary ❤ yep we're going out to Si Senor tonight for my birthday so I'm really looking forward to it. Kevin, Maria and Matthew won't be able to make it because of work but we just spent Saturday with them so that'll have to hold me over ❤❤
Sorry you had a rough night, I think that LOTR block did it!
Your place sounds perfectly festive to me.
Pretend I'm asking tonight and celebrate for me too 🎉 I'll be eating Mexican food too.
Velda, I haven't gotten to meet Cindy but yep Sue and Ken are really nice and fun! I hope your surgery fixes your vision problems.
Well tonight is Si Senor and now that Mary listed all that yummy food she's made me hungry too 🤣😂

Good morning!

Seems we are all on the same page for dinner today. Mexican. We are getting tamales for our dinner. Maybe even some chips and salsa to go with.

I have a new Lila story for you. Aaron and Kate put up their tree the other night. It was late, so they just set the box of ornaments next to the tree to do in the morning. The girls needed to go to bed. So the next morning, Lila woke up first and quiet as a mouse, went down and hung all the ornaments on the tree. At her height and her sight, about a 2x2 foot area. Now my dumb kids, moved and rearranged them. They should have left them just as Lila hung them! What a little sweetie Lila is, as well as a tornado at times.

Heading down to sew. Michael is playing with the budget spreadsheet. That's my clue to disappear. He found 5 mistakes in his programming that he is fixing. The brain fog is clearing and this is a good exercise for his brain.

Sarah is finishing the grouting and them coming here to sew a bag we started.

Hugs,
Jana

Happy Birthday Tina. Hope you were spoiled by your family today. Did you have cake?

Mary, looks like you had fun with Sue and Cindy. How was the food?

I'm been working around the house today. A little cleaning, a little gardening, a little fabric dying.
Now it's time to get dinner started.

We'll be having Orange chicken, rice and zucchini.

Have a lovely evening./color]

Today was Disneyland California Adventure for DH and I. We had a good time.

Tina - Happy Birthday! Hope you had a wonderful day.

Jana - Quite a mistake with the water in the grout that Sarah made yesterday. So sorry. Glad to hear you got sewing time today.

Mary - Such a nice picture of Sue and Cindy. I really miss Cindy’s posts.

Becca - Always good to hear your eyes have improved.

Velda - Your cataract surgery is just a few days away. You will have such an improvement you will be amazed.

Lori - Sounds as if you had a puttering day. I am sure you enjoyed it.

Dinner tonight was Sloppy Joes. We arrived home at 6:30 PM.
