SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Nov 11th

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Nov 11, 2021 4:54 am

Good morning,

Happy Veteran's day to all our brave vets out there! God bless them as He has blessed US with them!

I poured on the coal yesterday and finished my mountain block. I posted a photo over in Sew-in. It took me 3 full days. I have 7 more LOTR blocks to finish - all larger than the others I've done but not as large as the mountains! They will be 2 or 3 weeks of sewing. Today is going to be house cleaning and grocery shopping. Tomorrow is going to be cooking for company. I'm not sure if I'll get back to sewing before we leave for the winter or not.

LORI - we belong to a few wine clubs, too. Free tasting at those wineries. And here, if you buy a bottle of wine, tastings are free. At most wineries.

JANA - big grocery shopping days are exhausting! Especially when it's both Costco and regular grocery. I like Winco, and there are 3 around that I know of but they are all about 30 miles from us in different directions. So we go to Safeway or Fred Meyer (Kroger) for our non-Costco stuff. I sounds like Michael has a good appetite even though he's still recovering.

BECCA - your Courtney is really talented! What kind of music does she sing? Sounds like she really has her life's priorities set.

We didn't have the split pea soup yesterday after all. I found a ziplock package of chili mac in the freezer so I thawed that. There's enough for tonite, too. I'm thinking of making some apricot scones today, too.

How are your supper plans coming along?

Good morning!

Cloudy and cold. When we were out shopping yesterday, my old brain remembered it's November and I don't live in California any more! I forgot I needed a sweater. A tad bit cold, nice to have heated seats in the Highlander.

Michael is doing well. In fact, he is fussing around in my kitchen fixing where things are. I might need to shorten his leash -the O2 hose! LOL! PT is coming later this afternoon and will check on him.

I am still working on the sashing. There are 36 sash blocks to assemble. A piece at a time.

Dinner - meatless tacos, a Michael favorite. Just, lettuce, cheese, green onions and tomatoes, in a taco shell.

Sarah just got here with my new model, need to run,
Hugs,
Jana

Jana, it's supposed to reach 90 here in Socal today. It's hot a few days then cool again.
Have you ever tried potato tacos?

Mary, I don't know if you get free tasting if you buy. I'll have to ask when we go somewhere different.
One of the friends dropped out tomorrow, so we'll probably just hit one winery and a few quilt shops.
I'm going up to the mountains for the weekend, so I went shopping today and got food to take. I'll get a bottle of red to go with raviolis.

Dogs are walked, shopping is done, now to get a project ready to take to the mountains for my trip this weekend.

Dinner will be something cool. Maybe ham sandwiches.

Have a lovely day.
