Another early start on my day here. Yaawnnn . ... We are 45* and light rain. Brrr... Not looking forward to my walk later on.
Yesterday I got binding on my Sew-Along quilt, then added it to my donation pile and delivered them to my friend whose DD works at the local nursing home. They will be gifts for residents at Christmas. Then we went to Port Orchard to refill 5 or 6 propane tanks. I got my laundry done and a good start on my 14"x22" mountain block. Today I will be doing the bed sheets and working some more on that block. It's not as difficult as I'd expected, but it's just so much larger than all the other blocks.
LORI - how goes the kitchen upheaval? You are making me itchy to do my kitchen again. I need to get down the dusty things and either get rid of them or move them to where I can at least reach them with the step stool. I have a beautiful set of Noritake china I haven't used in years. I got it at Goodwill for $29 and looked it up on line. It's worth almost $1,000! But who uses china anymore??
JANA - Oh, I'm so happy for Sarah!! Thanksgiving, here she comes!! Though this good news begs the question, if it's not food allergies, what was causing all her symptoms? Sorry about your iron delivery. I'm still waiting on MY iron that I ordered in March, 2020! And a comforter from Jan, 2020! They were coming UPS, I believe. Our UPS store mgr confided we would be shocked if we knew how many packages 'disappear' in transit. Is Michael good enough yet that you can leave him upstairs for short periods of time while you go play downstairs?
VELDA - that's odd about the damp package. Do you have dewy nights? Perhaps it was lost in the bushes or delivered to a neighbor? Sprinkler? I wish packages had little cameras attached so we could see where they go.
BECCA - what joyful times at your house with the twins! Is this the first time they've visited you?
CAROL - your printer seemed to go the route our Dell computer went when they were trying to return it to us after a repair. They took 2 months to repair it and 1 month to ship it to us. We were in TX last year.
Actually, it went to our friends' in south TX so we finally just sent them money and they mailed it to us. Fed Ex couldn't seem to generate a shipping label to send to our friends to forward it on to us. We finally gave up. And it's my grandson who is getting the LOTR quilt, not my nephew. I love my nephews, but not enough to make THIS quilt!

I think we'll have tamales tonite with refried beans and salad on the side.
What are you thinking of?
