It's 39* this morning, I hope it's a dry day today. Yesterday was a day for building arks and we were out in it, driving! But despite the rain, we had a good day - made it into a Sunday Drive, taking the back roads and enjoying the scenery. It was a 2-hr drive each way, plus we spent quite a while visiting Bill's sister. We barely got home in time for Dog Boy's supper. I know he was getting concerned.
Today will be laundry. Probably 3 loads at least. And I need to bind that 30 FOOT Sew Along quilt.

VELDA -no, I didn't make a 30-foot quilt. (Though I'm starting to wonder about this LOTR project!) Glad you figured it out. I'm typing with a brace on my left wrist so sometimes my lefthanded letters get missed and my eye doesn't catch it when I proof read. And yes, believe it or not, I usually proof my posts unless I get summoned away and forget. I believe Fed Ex contracts with USPS sometimes and they do Sunday deliveries here.
LORI - I loved your beautiful quilt! Thanks for the photo! I am always so interested to see what everyone else is doing. I love two blocks combined to get a new unique look! A fun trip to the wineries for you! We had two quarterly selections to pick up, not just the one we were expecting, so we came home with 4 bottles. This winery also does distilling so we picked up a little 100 ml bottle of brown sugar whiskey to take to Texas for Antonio for Christmas. He enjoys different whiskeys so we thought a bit of Washington would make a nice stocking stuffer.
BECCA - I'm glad you're not knocking on the pharmacy door every week! My parents took a lot of prescriptions and while the old Rexall didn't offer home delivery back in those days, the pharmacist lived out past their house, so she would often just stop by and drop off my parents' meds for them. They were long time customers, so got the royal treatment. And yes, Drew finally realized what I'm actually doing and now he's put me on a pedestal! But I have to be careful - it can be a long drop OFF that pedestal! lol!
TINA- that's a nice idea about the Tenn Waltz quilt - to give it to my friend, anyway. Though I've already given her 3 quilts. If I do give it to her I won't mention that it was supposed to be her wedding quilt. Her heart is broken enough and I don't want her to think of 'what could have been' every time she looks at it. She could use a 'lift'. She was newly diagnosed with M.S. Sorry to hear about Maria. Is she very sick? So hard to isolate yourself from your 3 yr old when you are both in the same house!
I was rooting around in the freezer this morning and found a container of leftover chili and some cornbread so I brought it out for tonight. I'm going to be making new chili later this week for company so - out with the old and in with the new!
What's tempting your taste buds tonite?
