SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Nov 6
Good morning,
We had a wee bit of sunshine yesterday! Bill got several more tractor bucket loads of leaves picked up. They are about 80% down now. The colors, which turned in just two weeks, are bright yellows and some oranges. Big maple leaves. In past years, they've been kind of a moldy brown and gold. Things are changing . . . He also started the quilting on my 30's Sew-Along from this past year. So I will be back in the binding business again soon. After that, only two more in the QQ. (Quilting Queue). They will have to wait until spring. One is my hand embroidered state birds and the other is a gold/black/cream Tennessee Waltz I made about 6 yrs ago for a wedding that never happened. Not sure what I'm going to do with it - donation? Gift stash? Other?
I Got two LOTRs finished yesterday but I see a mistake on one so I'm going to to a little bit of frogging this morning and repair it. It bothers me. I also spent a couple hours out in the trailer, organizing food, clothes, storage bins, etc. Wish I had a crystal weather ball for Texas this year. We've been down there when it's 80* in the winter and also when it's freezing. We have to pack for it all.
VELDA - sorry you lost your internet yesterday. when I mess up my posts (which happens a lot if you're me!) I usually can get it back by hitting Ctrl and Z. But not if the internet has gone down. I'm glad you could give your niece her gift in person. That is a gift itself! I'm sure she loved it! When will you be heading home?
JANA - our bridges are a few hundred feet apart, 4 lanes each, no ramps, no turn arounds on either end until you get to the next exits. And they are 150' above some of the deepest water in Puget Sound. If someone tried to "flip a U-ie", there would really be no need for Aaron to hurry. Good to hear Michael is making strides - even if they are baby strides. How is that Christmas Ribbons quilt coming along? Did you say you are almost to the sashing part?? You've been busy!
BECCA - I hope your tickly throat and sniffly nose are gone today. You sure don't need any kind of virus! I was wondering if your drugstore delivers? Or at least has a drive-up window.
LORI - going through kitchen cabinets can be a real chore. I did mine a few years ago and it took me 2-1/2 days. But so worth it! They are still, for the most part, organized. I used to do quite a bit of scrapbooking - mostly for my siblings and kids, but a few for us. Now I just file all the pictures into acid-free photo boxes. I have a special box just for my quilting/crafting pictures.
Tonite I think we'll have chicken salad sandwiches and salads. Mostly because I have two hamburger buns that need to be used up and it's too cold and wet out to grill.
What's on your menu for tonite?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Saturday, Nov 6
Good morning, almost noon here. Yes, I usually can get the post back, but this time it was really weird! I took it as a little sign, that I would have been boring you all, LOL, so I just reposted an abbreviated version. I know you would be glad I did!!
We just didn't buy a lot of grocery stuff for this trip. I knew there would be no room for a cooler. So I brought some of favorite snacks out of our own pantry. Those are getting used up. We bought a loaf of bread for peanut butter sandwiches now and then, plus two frozen pizzas, and a box of frozen White Castle Sliders. I have never tried these, I used to like them when we lived near that restaurant, but haven't had any for years. Reluctant to try these frozen ones, but what the hey, why not?
Then our last frozen pizza will be tonight.
Otherwise, we have had dinner out plans, and favorite things eating out like: Mc Ribs, to fill in the gaps.
I am enjoying all the chatter going on about SS this year. Still can't believe you got your package already! That is awesome. You can now already have it with you.
This morning, I have spent over an hour trying to check on my package of cards I ordered for our church. First the tracking gave me estimated delivery on Friday. Coming by Smart Post.( Which means final delivery via USPS)
FedEx changed their tracking number??
When I researched it, I found that for a USPS tracking, I would need to add: 92 to the number.
So when I track through USPS informed delivery, it says they haven't received it yet.
When I go through the website where I ordered the cards, it shows it is in Indiana today and still in transit. What a huge mess!!! I will never ever trust FedEx again.
I am going to check, next time our church orders more, well, I order more, to see if I can request USPS as my preferred shipper.
We'll see, here I am boring you all again!!
Sorry. I better go check my laundry. LOL

Hello everyone sunny here but a tad cold
Did get laundry done & have to cut CAs hair when he gets up from his resting time
He got part of clocks turned back I do wish our state was going to leave it but not so
Velda You aren’t boring us Shipping can be a pain I’ve found today no one knows what they are doing hardly ever In efficiency is rampant in our society
Maryz I did today what my Dad used to do for colds & such eat onions lol. Our Drug store doesn’t deliver but has a drive thru which I use all the time never go inside anymore too convenient to just drive thru
I made black beans over bed of rice
Have a great day everyone
Today one of our Grands plays football for their Super Bowl Our DGS used to play college football & he’s their coach Wish we could go but too far for us
Becca
Jana Your little Lila sounds like a sweet girl Give her a hug for me
Maybe if you tell Michael CA has been on Oxygen for 16 or more years it might help

Good morning!
Need to start laundry, but y'all are much more fun! Michael is doing well. Getting a bit discouraged, thinking that he will always be on his leash of O2, so I listen, and quietly remind him that's it only been 2 weeks since he was released and the Dr said that to be back to maybe normal would be the first of the year. Patience is my virtue, not his.
Will work on my blocks today. Sarah is moving mountains, dirt in her driveway to the backyard and Ethan is doing laundry. He will come down later to give me a hand. Aaron is dealing with accidents, today he has had 4 fatals already on his shift. I would like to scream at all those drivers, Slow down! Sounds like normal around this house!
Dinner - pot roast sandwiches.
Mary - you may just have all those LOTR blocks done before Texas.
Vel - oh how tracking packages is such a pain! Hope you find yours soon.
Becca - it is fun to watch our kids play sports, but nerve wracking too!
Well, better get going,
Hugs,
Jana
