SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Nov 5th
Good morning!
Well, I got all our Christmas gifts wrapped and into the mail yesterday. Whew! One big thing checked off our "to-do" list. I got my machine back, cleaned my sewing room (what a mess!), started sorting the 5 yrs of photographs we got back from Costco yesterday, and started another LOTR block. A full day. Nothing is on my calendar for today so I guess I'll sew. This afternoon, I think I'll start working in the trailer, stowing things we've already taken out there and rearranging some stuff. Time to start making our lists. Takes a lot of planning to get house/yard/trailer/Christmas all organized for a 3-month trip.
BECCA - oh, those military leaves are treasures to moms! I remember how my mom cried when my brothers would come home. I'm glad your Tina got to spend the time with her boy.
TINA - it feels so good to be purging things you no longer need, and getting money for them is the icing on that cake! Bill just did that with a lot of his stuff - 3 trailers, tires, and some ammo. What did you decide on a quilt? How is the new storage shed coming along?
JANA - haha! There's no turning around on OUR bridge - it's TWO bridges! One for each direction. And a 150' drop to the water below. We have a twin-sized air bed if we REALLY need one, though maybe a cot would be better . . . We hauled that airbed to Alaska with us - 8 week trip - so my sis could sleep on it when she flew up to join us at our brother's for 4 days. Never thought of a cot.
LORI - I'm glad you got your machine repaired and finally returned. (I hope they didn't charge you the entire fee since you were the one that discovered the problem!) I wouldn't be happy either. It's a 30-mile round trip to our sew&vac shop and the bridge toll is $5.25. At least we only have to pay going one direction.
Unless things change, I'm finally going to do that veggie stir-fry tonite. Probably over rice. I just found some cooked rice in the freezer that will do nicely. We've been eating down our freezer but we do leave our fridge on when we travel. Freezers work more efficiently when full so if I think about it, I might fill it up with TP and paper towels while we're gone. That's where my younger sister, Teese, stores her paper goods when there's room.
Anyhoo, what's for supper at your house?

Good Day to all the dinner guests. I had my post made, ready to submit and my internet connection got lost, grrrr!
I tried to get it back, but I lost it.
We had dinner with my sister and our neice and her hubby.
I gave her the baby gift. That was well received.
We have a huge amount of leftovers for tonight. Big generous portions.
I can type more later. Gotta go now.

Good morning!
Mary - that there is two bridges would not stop some of those Aaron deals with! He has had several who missed the off ramp they wanted, pulled over to the shoulder, the emergency area, turn around and try to drive back to the off ramp area, going against traffic. Some just try to backup that distance as well. We are just to logical to do stupid stuff like that, but we are in the minority. There are so many idiots out there! Aaron thinks he has seen it all, then someone changes that for him.
Dinner - that pot roast will finally make it in the crockpot.
Not much more happening here. Hopefully a quiet day.
Hugs,
Jana

I'm way late to the table tonight. I thought I posted earlier, but I guess that was just in my head. I forgot to write it down.
Becca, I hope it's nothing serious and you feel better soon.
Vel, was the gift, the diapers? Those were do cute.
Mary, what do you do with your pictures? Do you scrapbook?
I stated going through kitchen cabinets today. Reorganize the clutter. I also need to get rid of things I don't use.
For dinner we had a ham scramble and toast. Super easy.
Sleep well my pretties.
