SUPPER CLUB - Monday, Nov 1st

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Nov 01, 2021 6:36 am

Good morning and happy November!

It's 41* here and rain will be arriving again about noon. And from the looks of it, it will be with us for at least the next 10 days. At least off and on. I told Bill if he has any more outdoor stuff to do, his window is this morning.

It's been a quiet weekend for us. Nice. I got 3 LOTR blocks finished. 27 done with 14 left to go. But half of those 14 are triple-sized, so each one will take 3 or 4 days to do. They should keep me occupied while in Texas. I'm going to make a label for my brother's quilt, too. And get my SS package ready for mailing. I think I"m ready. Also, my older DD's - Lara.

JANA - I'm loving the good reports you are sharing on your patients! And nice work-around for your Christmas Ribbons dilemma. Isn't this how new quilt designs are born?

VELDA - sorry you had to leave your cards-at-church project just as you were getting it up and running, but I know you'll enjoy your little getaway! Congrats to your graduate! Is her brother able to attend? I've never heard of Culver's so I guess we don't have them here.

BECCA - thank you for your kind words. You always make me feel good! 💖

I think I'll bake some chicken tonite with twice-baked potatoes. I want to make extra potatoes and freeze a couple for the trailer freezer. Nice to have prepared meals ready to heat when we're traveling.

What's your plan?

Good morning!
I've been busy I guess, time has gotten away from me again 🤷‍♀️
We went yesterday to Cruces ro pick up a metal shed at HD for our mowers and the little tractor. The shed is 10x12 and we think it'll hold it all. Frankie is going to make shelves across the back so my outdoor Christmas stuff can be stored.
We also had lunch at Kevin and Maria's, they ordered pizza from a local place.... it was pretty yummy!
Holly called me this morning that Preston was feeling really badly so Frankie went to meet her and get him. He was really pale and feeling yucky. About 15 minutes later he said he was hungry and ate a pancake and 2 sausage patties and drank his apple juice I buy for him. He bounced right back and is all perky and happy now. Maybe he had too much candy last night? 🤷‍♀️
We have insurance appointment today and an order to pick up for some groceries this afternoon. We're still working in those bedrooms but Frankie went out to play on his tractors to build a pad to build the shed on so it'll be another day or 2 if I'm the only one working in rooms.... I'm slow by myself. Oh well, no hurry.
Hmmmmmm supper 🤔🤔🤔 maybe pork chops or maybe a salad.... not really sure yet.

Good afternoon!

Busy day here. The PT has been here and put Michael through his paces. He did very well. We tried turning the O2 amount down at night and not turning it up if he needed to get up in the middle of the night. Didn't work, so I will need to continue getting up and turning the amount up, then back down to normal. Just like having a newborn in the house again. LOL!

Sarah is picking up groceries for me tomorrow morning. Michael wanted some goodies, so added those to my shopping list.

I have been working on my quilt,, still fixing the fussy Santa block. It's hard to sew up here when you have everything setup and a nice swivel office chair to sit it. Dining chairs, even though padded, just don't cut it.

Dinner - I did banned noodle cassarole last night and there's enough for dinner tonight. I finally found my leg of lamb roast that Sarah and I have been wanting. She is picking it up tomorrow and we will see when we cook it this week.

Mary - you are getting speedy on those LOTR blocks. You may be ready to assemble that top when you get home. Thanks for the forthcoming rain!

Tina - I had a shed that size in Concord, in fact, two of them. One was packed to the rafters with all my Christmas decorations. After a tree fell, on the one the Christmas was in, I learned to keep everything in plastic totes. Kept out mouses too!

Becca - yes, it's getting cold here too. Your morning temp is my high for the day! You are a inspiration on how to be a good care giver. Of which, I am learning is no easy task!

Sarah is off to her hairdresser to get her hair done. I am having her check when I can get mine cut. It's the middle of my back, driving me bonkers so off it will come, up to my shoulders. About 12 inches I guess. I haven't had it cut for about three years. I like it curled and it's just too heavy to hold a curl. Plus, I'm not 16 anymore. Need to be more my age, LOL!

Stay Safe,
Hugs,
Jana
