We're chilly at 43* but we're DRY!! I'll take it! There will be some yard clean up this afternoon after all the storms this week, but at least about 1/3 of the leaves are down. DH has a new, professional grade leaf blower and he's anxious to get out there and play with it!
Yesterday I took Betsy to the Yarn Shop here where she picked up a few skeins. She loves yarn like we love fabric. She got a knobby pink to make a scarf for her DDIL for CHristmas. I got to enjoy all the vibrant colors in the shop, but I kept imagining all the bolts of fabric that used to fill that space.
I finally got my picture posted of my DWR, finished. I also had time to finish a LOTR block and sort out the ones I have left to do. I'm making slow but stead progress. After Bob & Betsy leave this morning, I'll finish my sorting and organizing and get another one started. Then some yard work, then a haircut. Finally! My hair is very curly and is getting curlier every year. Right now it's looking like a basketball sized Brillo pad! lol!
JANA - how is Crenda feeling? Poor Matt, missing out on a world series game. But family first! I have a friend here, Carol, who's husband dug a hole in the back yard for some reason. He never completed what he was going to do and never filled the hole in. She kept asking hi to do it, saying someone was going to get hurt. But he didn't. One night she was out in the yard, stepped into the hole, fell, and broke two vertebrae. She had to have surgery a few days later but her hubby had Mariners tickets so he and his dad went to the game and his mom stayed at the hospital, waited through the surgery, and then sat with Carol afterward. That husband would have become a statistic about then if he'd been MY husband!
TINA - if Adam quit-claimed his share of the house over to Holly or to you I can't see how the bank would foreclose on it just because he was no longer on the title. Holly's making the payments on it herself anyway. They would only take it if she got far enough behind on payments. Please, please urge her to get legal advice and not make decisions on what she THINKS may happen. JANA is right - Adam is a manipulator and people like that are very skilled at turning the facts to make themselves look like the victim. Holly really needs someone besides herself or her parents to speak for her. Expensive, but money well spent! And if she has to sell the house, something will come up, even if she has to stay with you for a short while.
BECCA - glad you are still able to get walks in. Our weather is turning wintry (for us, anyway) quickly. I'm having to bundle up now for my walk. I hope you can get an appt soon with the acupuncturist if you decide to give it a try.
VELDA - I don't know who Molly B is or K of C, but sounds like you're in for a good time. Polka is pretty much the same 3-count step as a waltz but no rise/fall on the 1 and 4 beats. And it's a lot faster and it's a lot of fun! I love to polka! and it's GREAT exercise!!
I'm not sure about supper tonite. I haven't given it any thought. It's just been too busy here. I'll check to see what kind of must-go's we have - what happens at lunch - and then assess Bill's hunger scale. We might have eggs, but it could be pasta . . . .
Got any good ideas for your supper? Or ours??
