SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, July 1

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Jul 01, 2021 6:47 am

Good COOL morning!

The intense heat is gone. Whew! So nice to have our cool mornings and highs of 75-80 back. I can move around again. And yesterday I got 3 GD3 blocks sewn together (they are all different) and then finished cleaning the trailer. I sorted, purged, rearranged, dusted, polished, mopped for 5 hours (and 4 hours the day before). I made a list of changes I made and taped it to the inside of the pantry door because I knew I'd forget where I put things when we go out camping again in August. I know me. Bill is kind of doing the same thing with his outside bin storage - tools, hoses, extra parts, pieces, etc.

Wow! I'm sitting on the deck, typing away, and an owl just flew by us within 8 feet of our heads and landed in a tree next to the house. Now that is cool!

Anyway, as I was saying - I have to cut this short as I'm still in my robe and Scottie and I need to meet Lori and Duchess for our morning walk.

TINA - I will definitely check out your Christmas swap! Good news on dad!

JANA - Just when I think the end is in sight, you get busy again, building, remodeling, etc. But more storage is enticing!

Supper tonite will be grilled chicken. and some sort of potato. Maybe I'll make a pototo salad. Will think on that.

Good morning 🌅 what a neat picture of you enjoying coffee and forum visit on the deck!!
How cool to see an owl up close. Bet wild life is enjoying the cooler temps too.
We did laundry. Everything put away, and enjoying my second cup of coffee now.
Going to make BLT for lunch today. Then I had BBQ/sloppy joe in freezer. Will make potato salad to have with that for supper/dinner plan.
Might even toss a salad. A friend reminded me how yummy the mini cucumbers are. They came in a bag of 6 or 8. So crisp and tender!!
Now I am craving them at every meal.
I also found a bag of deluxe mix of chopped vegetables. Looks just like broccoli slaw (. Which I also love dearly). Anyway it said (kalorabi, broccoli, kale, cabbage, carrots, etc).
Can't remember all. But oh so delicious with slaw or ranch dressing. It's yummy for a summer salad bowl.
Today I am planning to straighten out some storage closets. They get so jumbled up sometimes.
Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning!
I got a text last night after 10, I usually stay up till 11 to 12. It was Holly asking if I could watch the kids today so they're here. She had to go into school and Adam wouldn't watch them. They're arguing again. Ugh.
So I've made breakfast already. Think sandwiches will be lunch and I'm leaning towards smothered burritos for supper.
The Christmas swap is posted!
Mary, I'm glad your temps are back down. I know from experience that high temps are not fun. Did you hear the woosh of the owl's wings? I think that sounds so cool! Like goosebumps cool!
Vel, I haven't made BLT's in a long time, I need to make some! Yummy!

Good morning!

The last shirt is done - I am not pleased with how it looks, but it will do. the stitching for the embroidery ruffled the fabric as the fabric is a very light weight knit - one of those that dries supper fast, and the stitching had a ton of stitches. So now it is time that I can do my stuff! Well, until Daniel gets here. Then I will probably be making some doll clothes for Karlie's doll that I made for Christmas.

Dinner - I think that some everything fried rice will grace the plates tonight. My refrigerator is very bare at the moment and I am making a grocery list to go and get later today. I already have Karlie's favorite cereal in the house, now to get some chicken nuggets for her. I also need to get many cases of A&W cream soda for Daniel - he inhales that stuff!

Not much else here at the moment - just re-straightening up the Batt Cave. I have the LA covered to keep her clean.

Hugs,
Jana
