SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 21

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Mar 21, 2021 7:10 am

Good morning,

We are 39* here right now, going to 45* with rain holding off until this afternoon. Our weather at the ocean for our camping trip is going to be about 47* with rain off and on. And the sun is predicted to start shining for real the day we leave! lol! Oh well. That's why God made travel sewing machines, right? Today will be the last load of laundry and packing the last items. Also, our friend, Doyle, brought me a jacket to mend, so before my travel machine goes out to the trailer, I'll do that and Bill can deliver it later today.

LORI - I have "done" shelties for the last 45 years, but I also love labs and goldens. I've told Bill for our next dog - and there WILL be another dog when the position is available again - I want a golden. They never stop smiling! And they smile at both ends - I consider wagging tails smiles!

MARY ROSE - I know the excitement of starting a new X-st project. This one sounds like a big undertaking! But oh so purrfect! And it uses 159 colors? Wow! Hope you find a DMC sale! I know you will love doing this project!

JANA - we never noticed any foggy brain from our shots, but then maybe WE wouldn't . . . . . I love pickled eggs. My recipe is simple. Buy a big jar of dill pickles. Eat the pickles. Boil the eggs and drop them into the leftover pickle juice and wait. I've tried all kinds of pickles and even pickled beets. But dill is my favorite. And what did you decide to make for the kids? cookies or peanut butter eggs?

TINA - exciting to contemplate a new baby! I told you this would happen as soon as you got rid of your baby furniture! lol! My DBIL, Al, was in your area yesterday. He and his crazy buddies were on their way home to Colorado from Yuma (in one day!). They took the Hatch cut-off. Hope the construction will be done soon. We've had HEAVY construction on I-5 for the past 10+ years just where we get on to go either north or south. I hate it!

Supper tonite just might be a chef's salad. I think I'll add black beans to it. Yesterday I made a new appetizer. Half of a baby bell cheese, a slice of turkey pizza pepperoni, and half an olive all wrapped in a 4" square of puff pastry. Used egg wash to seal it, egg washed the top and sprinkled with a bit of salt. Baked 20 min and they were purrfect! Our friends really liked them. But you could do anything with this - sweet or savory.

How's the plan coming at your house?

Good morning!

Quite a bit of frozen Spr8ng fell yesterday. But if you went a few blocks down from me, it was rain. Aaron dealt with rain all day and had no idea it snowed on us. The roads and walks stayed clear, which was a good thing as this is a heavy wet snow. Michael had to clear the satellite dish a couple of times, as snow built up on it.

Not much here. Church in a little while, then sewing in the Batt Cave.

Mary - Sandee does her eggs in dill and beet juice, so they are purple. I have on my food list of things I will never eat and that is pickles! I hate them! That and horseradish. Maybe that rain will skip your beach this trip. But it will still be nice tobe out of the house for awhile.

Tina - a new baby to wish for! I took down the crib that is here and put it in storage, for just such a case that may still happen here.

I haven't yet decided on Easter treats. They may get a cake instead. I have a cake cookbook that makes what is called, a inside out cake. The design is on the inside and when you slice it, it shows up. All the grands love that book to look at and want me to make them one. We will see.....

Dinner - our usual late brunch and piecing on leftovers later.

Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana

Good morning from a bright, sun shiny day in Farmington, New Mexico. We had some rain overnight, leaving a beautiful sunrise and fresh air. Today is online church, then back to my sewing room to work on the wedding quilt.

Yesterday was very productive in the sewing room. I only have two borders left to add to the wedding quilt and it will be ready to sandwich and quilt. Once my need supplies arrive, I will be ready to start on the x-stitch label. I am getting very excited to get started on it.

Supper tonight will be left over roast and mashed potatoes with a vegetable.

Enjoy your day.

Hi everyone!
I told Maria last Friday that we were going to get rid of all the baby things and she said they'd been talking to see if they were going to try for another one so I told her I'd probably be finished within a week of cleaning and putting away to where I could even get to the baby things. We went over on Friday and that's when she told me they were going to try for another baby. I told her I'd leave up the baby bed and keep the baby things that I do have then. I just didn't want to keep it if there wasn't going to be anymore babies coming along. It's not in my way, I don't sleep in there LOL
If anyone has extra rain please send it here, we're in desperate need of it.
I'm hoping to hear hopefully good news for us about them making the farmer get water on this mess.
I put a corned beef in the crock pot this morning to make grilled reubens for supper. Dad will be here in just a few minutes.
Sorry I'm speeding through.
I hope you all had a relaxing Sunday.
Tina
