We're 44* and will be drizzly most of the day. Hard to go backwards like this when we were almost 60* and sunny 2 days ago.
Bill got his 2nd Moderna shot yesterday afternoon. Through the night he felt a bit nauseated and like he was coming down with flu, but this morning he's OK. Just a little tired and his arm is kind of sore. I may let him slide on chores today. I have chiro after my morning walk and then I'll probably goof off in my sewing room. I want to finish off my little summer wall-hanging. and I'll cut more DWR wedges. If I make the queen quilt I'll need about 1300 wedges. I'm considering making it a little smaller because I'm thinking Autumn would rather put this quilt over a couch than on her bed.
Yesterday we found about 2 wheelbarrow loads of leftover cement dumped on Vicki's property close to the road. We had seen a cement truck at one of the new homes two days before and Lori, my walking buddy, said she and her DH saw a man wheelbarrowing something across the road and dumping it on Vicki's property. Bill took pictures and talked to the homeowner where we saw the cement truck. He called his contractor, who denied he had dumped it, but came anyway and cleaned up the mess. Then the homeowner came to our house later to introduce himself and let us know it had been taken care of. We're pretty sure it was his contractor and the contractor lied. We let Ben, Vicki's SIL, know what had happened.
MARY ROSE - How are you feeling after your 2nd shot? And did you find some border fabric? Be a shame if you had to go fabric shopping, now, wouldn't it?

CAROL - That is funny about the zombie story. Does she really think zombies exist?? I wonder where this girl rests on the IQ scale! And yes, I'm staying with batiks, my first instinct, for my DWR but I decided to use up my batik scraps and FQ's first rather than cut up my larger pieces of yardage.
TINA - glad you got your shot. How did your dad do? Sorry Holly isn't feeling well after her first shot. I would hate living in such a windy, dusty area. Vacuums and I don't get along, so there would be problems!
LORI - nice to get some of the smaller projects all finished up. I'm going to do that, too, today, with my little 6x21" wall hanging. I think I might give it to my younger sis, Teese, for her April birthday. I already have a pair of potholders and a set of pillowcases I made for her. And yes, I sure do know about black and pet hair! And Autumn has 3 cats and Antonio has 2 little dogs. This is one reason I'm thinking she would probably prefer to put this quilt on a couch back rather than her bed.

JANA - a rediscovered 5 yards of TOT white is quite a find! I keep hoping your machines call you soon, wanting to come home to mama! Have you tried calling the shop? They can blame Covid for only so long. Once, for our pick-up, our Dodge dealer said they couldn't get the part and it would be a long time until they could fix whatever was wrong. Bill went on-line, ordered the part himself, and took it to the dealer and said, "Now, fix it!" And they did.
IRISH - did you get your shot yet? Is your foot all healed yet?
BECCA - Are you doing OK now after your shot and it's after-effects?
You may have noticed CHICKIE hasn't been around much. First, her arthritis in her hands has flared and she has a very hard time typing. But the past few weeks she has been in and out of the hospital and ER. She has been diagnosed with two strokes plus a series of TIA's. She still isn't right and is on the hunt for a dependable doctor. She could really use some prayers. Things are tough for her right now
I'm still thinking over our supper options here. We could do burgers if Bill wants to grill. Our deck is covered but it will still be damp and 46* at supper time. Other ideas are pasta or stir-fry chicken & veggies. We'll see what happens at 5pm.
What's happening at suppertime at your house?
