Supper Club - Monday, Nov 30

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Nov 30, 2020 4:03 am

Good morning! Happy Monday!

The rain here has stopped but it is still chilly with a strong breeze. Earmuff weather! I can hardly believe it was 80° on Thanksgiving .

Yesterday I finished my fox quilt. Tried it on my sisters bed and it looks great! Purrfect size. Now it is all folded neatly and put away until we get home when I will quilt & bind it. Today I plan to start the reindeer quilt.

We pulled up our security cameras yesterday and checked our place. We could even hear traffic out on the road, see our squirrels hopping around the yard, and heard the rooster next-door growing. And birds chirping. That got Foxy’s attention. They were HIS birds! 🦉🦜🕊😻 ( my phone needs more bird imogees!)

Becca, I think we found your first post. LOL. Computers do funny things sometimes. I bet your house is looking festive!🎄

Lori, oh dear – I hate to ask, but what Christmas quilt are you working on now? I hope it’s not something I have to have, too! 😹. And what colors will you use on your next reindeer quilt? I have always loved black and white check.

We got invited to my sister’s last night for a ham, pasta salad, and spaghetti squash supper. Nice not to have to cook. My brother-in-law did most of the heavy lifting. And the clean up afterward. (her sling comes off in eight days.) Tonight I plan to make beef a Roni and salad. Just hamburger, onions, and cooked macaroni all Fried together. If it’s not too cold, we will cook on the outdoor stove.

What are you cooking tonight?

Mary, hahaha it's call "Frostie Friend" by Quilted Heartz. I bought a kit at the quilt show I went to in September. I also bought a kit on QIAD last week. It's called "A Merry Little Christmas" Boxed Kit.
I'm going to send that to my granddaughter to play with.

Becca, I saw both of your posts yesterday.

Tina, is today the BIG day?!

Well I've got a bit of cleaning to do. The boys have been walked and are resting. I need to go grocery shopping today. I didn't go last week because people are crazy before the holiday.

Don't know what's for dinner, but maybe something with chicken.

Have a lovely day.

Good afternoon from a chilly, dreary, rainy, yucky SW. Pa...BUT, it's to get worse, starting tonight.....We might even get some snow.......

Mary, sometimes I wonder just what Mother Nature is up to...Yesterday, our weather was decent, just a light sweater but today, terrible...I always remember being with Virginia in Florida when the temps dropped (just a little)...She would flip that furnace on and say, "didn't come to Florida to be cold" and then when we'd deliver Meals on Wheels, I'd be in shorts or summer stuff and she'd come out of the house in sweat shirt and heavy knitted cap and gloves....I have a feeling she's wearing those clothes today, supposed to be really chilly down there....
Did you post a picture of your quilt? it's getting hard to keep up with you and your finished projects....Glad to hear your sister will have her arm back soon....
I talked to Kathy last night and she's full of ideas for when they come east...Right now, everything she's getting as gifts, she's having sent to my house and it's beginning to look like Santa's warehouse in my living room....I did clear a way to the Christmas stuff in the shed so she'll be able to get to the wrapping paper...She comes up with the most original gifts so I told her to do my shopping, too.....

I need to get moving, have a lot of running around to do today...My new glasses are ready and I need to pick up an RX and a bunch of groceries...Hoping the snow holds off until tomorrow night, I have an appointment with my cardiologist in the morning and although Ruby goes very well in the snow, we stay home!

Not sure what dinner might be...I still have some left overs but I'll let Ruby decide......

You all have a good rest of the day......I'll check on you later.....

Happy eating.........................

Good morning!

Sarah is over, needing to print worksheets for Ethan's school work this month. Her office is packed away, so she is using what we call sneaker net - a usb drive with what she needs. They are still waiting for the plank flooring to arrive. Home Depot messed up, lost the first order and now the replacement of that order is on the way. She is keeping close track of this order.

Dinner - chicken something too will appear.

Not much else happening here. Sewing in a few minutes.

Hugs,
Jana

Hi y'all.

Chicken something morphed into chefs salad.

Aaron is coming over to haul up my Christmas decorations. I will share , ie, give him some of them to have at his house, permanently. I have waaaaaay too much and he has very few. It's time to share. Then I could add more to mine...... humm....... LOL!
