Supper Club - Mon Nov 16
Good morning!
We have enjoyed our time here in Quartzsite. I think the sunset and sunrise colors are so spectacular here because they are soft and fade one into the other. They are like layers of color. Sometimes pastels, and sometimes blazing oranges and reds. The town is famous for being one huge fleamarket and in years past we’ve enjoyed strolling all the booths and tents. But this year, only a few are here and of course the only one I was Interested in wasn’t open. Oh well
We decided to move on today to Gila Bend, about 150 miles from here and 50 miles straight south of Phoenix. A little campground in the middle of big rocks with prehistoric petroglyphs. Always interesting there
Irish, good to see you! I bet your living room looks like a craft store right now! Baby girl is probably having fun poking her nose into everything. It sounds like your cross- stitch things are going to good use
Becca, how many pairs of slippers do you plan to make? Are they Christmas gifts for family? I remember you making these some years ago for everyone.
Lori, Dogs snots – don’t get me started! I guess This is where having small dogs would be adventageous.
Jana, so how did you cook that roast? Was the recipe a keeper?
Tonite i think our supper will be leftover chicken noodle soup. We’d planned that for last night but saw today is going to be about 90’ in Gila Bend so I didnt want to use the oven for lasagna because it really heats up the trailer. Will probably have crackers to go with.

Mary, Desert sunsets are fabulous.
I have some errands to run today, then sewing this afternoon.
For dinner will be Orange chicken, rice, and salad.
Have a lovely day.

Good morning!
The recipe last night was a terrible one. Followed it exactly and I'd was even too rare for me! So we ate the two ends, then I wrapped up the rest and will re-roast the way underdone for tonight. I will go back to my tried and true recipe from Paula Deen. I know that one works well!
Sarah got her test results back, nothing they can find, no ulcers, no Krohns, no celiac, nothing. Sarah, having been a nutrition major in college, is slowly re- introducing foods and keeping a log of what she eats and any problem that may arise. And she is researching what it can be. She is very good at that.
All my packages are now out of quarantine and I am opening them up. Did order Lila's dress too small, so took care and ordered a new one the right size. Trying to return the too small one and the website keeps sending me in a never ending loop. I may just keep the dress and see if there is a little girl in the Ward that it will fit and give to her. So, heading down to sew doll clothes.
Not much else here. Bright, beautiful and even warm. About 50 right now.
We here are having protesters against some of the requested helps to slow the spread. They were at the Governor's home, here in Orem and at the Lt Governor 's home as well. The Lt Governor is the new governor elect, so instead of just staying inside, he stepped out into his front yard, with fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate for the protesters. He told them that they may disagree, but that is how Utah and America works and was founded upon. I think we have a wise new Governor coming in January.
Mary - love hearing the adventures of the day. Those petroglyphs are all over the south west area here. We have some here in Utah too. Not too many more travel days and you will be at Autumn's home.
Lori - I will be 8n the sewing room too! Enjoy the day!
Becca - my dolls are from a old pattern I made Sarah when she was 5. It is the same one I did last year for my other little girls and posted those pictures last year. When I get these done, I will post their pics too.
Well, time is slipping away fast. Matt got Enoch, his truck back, so he is very happy. And very broke after paying that repair bill.
Stay Safe!
Hugs,
Jana
If you want to see a picture of my Aaron at work, go to fox13now.com, then the story about 2 semis crashing in Salt Lake City. The trailer you see is crashed into a large tree and statue, the cab of the truck is totally disintegrated and the truck lost it brakes, ten miles up Parleys Canyon, before coming down the canyon at more than 60 mph, then crashing where you see it. Aaron is in tan pants, yellow reflective vest with the letters, IMT on the back of the vest.
