34* here this morning. Brrrr . . . . Coldest yet! My DBIL, Gene, has an 18-hr snowstorm going on. Sent me pix yesterday. So pretty! It's always exciting, the first real snow of the season in Alaska even to him and he's been there for almost 50 years. But he finds it less exciting in March and it's still there!
Scott has his hair appt this morning, Tex is bringing his trailer over, Adam is moving in, and I'll be hanging with the Maytags and changing sheets. I'll probably be spending some of the day reading/cross-stitching/supervising somebody - anybody! Last night we finished our Christmas shopping, ordering Hickory Farms treats for family to be delivered around Dec 15th. My sis is starting to feel a little better but still can't get clothes on. She's been wearing the hospital gown from the ER. So we ordered her two post-surgical shirts to be delivered Monday. They open with snaps on top of shoulder and down the sides. I hope this will help her. They aren't cute (look like scrub tops, one white, one black) so maybe I'll take some floral or cat fabrics to fussy cut some applique's for them. I could have sewn her a fewshirts but I have no patterns, no appropriate fabric, and no time. Plus it would have been more expensive. Hopefully the sizes run true and they fit her.
LORI - I'm in no rush to do my quilts either, but wanted to get the patterns while the getting was good! They will be great projects for next year! Or in the trailer this winter if I run short of things to sew. 2-1/2" stars?? Well now, won't they be fun!!

BECCA - My main Nativity Set is a big one, 19 pieces, and it takes up my entire buffet at Christmas. I made it over 8 months in a weekly ceramic class when I was 18. I cleaned the greenware myself, painted it carefully, right down to the eyelashes. Every now and then I find an odd piece of it in thrift shops and I buy them to have extras 'just in case'. I see the same set on e-Bay and they go for almost $300. I have smaller ones that I set in different rooms around the house. Would love to take a little one in the trailer but Foxy would consider it a cat toy, I'm sure. So I made a wall-hanging and I'll tack it up someplace. Can't have Christmas, even in a trailer, without Baby Jesus!
JANA - so is this Zoom class you are doing the big one you were kind of stressing over or is this your monthly class or are they the same thing? I'm losing track, you are so busy sharing your skills! Love your backgrounds! Have to admit, we carefully chose our background, too, for our Zoom court hearting last Sept. My Crazy Jane quilt.
Since I'm such an efficient packer, I had to go out to the trailer to get some eggs and bacon for our supper tonite. lol! And I had some cooked, shredded potatoes, onions and peppers in the freezer so they came in as well. FEAST!! So that's going to be our supper.
