SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Oct 8
Good morning!
After doing a lot of research, watching U-tube videos, and talking to a different trailer repair co. and a boat repair co., he has decided he can do the repairs himself. He' has all the products he needs either in hand or ordered. Though we had to cancel our 3-night camping trip at the ocean. The trailer won't be water tight and rain is predicted. So, instead of $15,000 and a month to do repairs, we're spending about $600 and I'm guessing a week. He's borrowing some scaffolding so he doesn't have to be on ladders all day or hang off the roof of the trailer.
In other news, after 4 tries (that we know of) by the deputy to serve Vicki the anti-harassment order her SIL, Ben, told us he is meeting the deputy at Vicki's house Friday morning at 8am to help facilitate things. This will be interesting . . . .
I hope to start cutting my sashing fabric for my UGRR. I'm doing fancy cornerstones, with all four sides of the cornerstone surrounded by 2 little flying geese. Will take time, but I really like the way Eleanor did hers in the book. And I have plenty of fabric! It's a good use for it.
JANA - Ethan's no dummy - ride downhill and have his bike trucked uphill! lol! are you starting a list for when you go stash restocking?
BECCA - oh, I agree! Nothing like the smell of a bakery!!
CAROL - lucky you that the painter is holding off for a day! How many members does your guild have? It sounds like a big one - and a busy one!
Supper tonite will probably be something on the grill. Chicken, salad, and carrots. Maybe rice. We'll see what DH says. He may prefer the pork chops I never grilled last week. But the rest of our menu will stay the same.
What's your plan?

Good morning!
Just waiting to empty the dishwashers and reload them. I ignored the kitchen for a time and now fixing that. Michael has a work call in a little while, so that will keep him busy for a hour or two. Wonder what will happen to the railroad when he isn't around to keep it fixed? Well, that will be a long time. He retired at 40 years, and is still working for them, nearly 50 years now.
Trimmed back the daylillies and cleaned out that planter bed. You can really see how damaged the brick wall is now. My hibiscus is still in bloom, so it needs to wait before I trim it back. Out in a front planter bed, we cleared out everything awhile ago. Cut a carpet rose bush down and even removed the main stump, so we thought. A small bush of that rose has grown back. So we will baby it and keep it trimmed in shape.
The gnome is done. I will layer and quilt it today. Even stitched out a bow for Minnie Mouse quilt. A few hiccups, but finally succeeded. I now have a template for placement and will work on that as well. Need thread for the bow, so Sarah will do that for me later.
Dinner - taco soup.
Mary - glad Bill can do the fix. It will be done well. 15,000 is a lot - that is what it is costing Matt for Enoch's new engine! That's his truck's name, even has a personalized license plate on the truck with it's name. Hopefully the Vicki drama will be done too, with her SIL's help. Someone got through to your sister- yippee! Her hand will thank her for that!
Hugs,
Jana

Maryz - In June the Guild had 143 members, not a huge Guild just active.
Jana - DH has an engine lift he wants to get rid of. He replaced the engine on the El Camino. Lol.
Dinner is Honey Mustard Chicken Bake with potatoes, onions, and green peppers. Also have broccoli. It will be a great supper.
