Good morning, Sunday, Sept. 13.......

Post by Irishgram » Sun Sep 13, 2020 8:31 am

Good morning everyone.....Not sure if I'm doing this right but hopefully, I'll get the table set....
It's been awhile since we've been together and I have missed you all....Hopefully, our chief "table setter" is having a great trip and hasn't forgotten us......

I've had a semi busy week since I had gotten back from my long weekend with my sister...Oh my, we did have fun and in between going up and down the mountain her nephew has gotten, we did some serious card playing and of course eating....You know those signs, "wide load", well, that's going to be me if I spend many more days with that family, lol......But, it was so much fun.....But, my week has been filled with going to sis's back doctor (no surgery, thank goodness), then filling in at her card party and then trying to just get more plants planted...(these things just keep jumping in the car)....Today is a bridal shower for my grandson, Ryan''s love, Maria, wedding is in Dec. This is my late daughter in law, Cindy's youngest son....
It was to be at a Winery but because of covid they've moved it to her parents house......
Not much else planned and hopefully, this coming week will be quiet....I need a week to just stay home....

As for dinner, I'm sure there will be lots of goodies at the shower.....

Sending prayers for all those in need with a special prayer for all those who have lost someone on that dreadful day, Sept. 11......

You all have a great rest of the day.......

Happy eating.......

Good morning!

Thank you Irish for setting the table! Sounds like you have been busy! With going up and down mountains, there could be no wide loads, burns up too many calories!

The kids are doing dinner tonight at Matt's house - lasagna and we have been invited. No cooking for me and in someone else's kitchen too!

Working on UFO's - I counted and only have 10. That surprised me, I thought I had more. There are 2 more that are Sarah's. We have thread ordered for all of those UFO's and that will arrive this week. I have one loaded on Robin, my LA and one I am doing on Ruby, my regular sewing machine. The one on Ruby is about 1/3 done and the one on my LA is ready to go, that is when I thread up the machine.

Sarah had a in person field field trip for one of her landscaping classes yesterday. They toured several nurseries and talked to the owners. Sarah has been in agriculture for more than 20 years and these kids in her class were barely 20 years old themselves. Each was asked to tell about themselves, and those kids were each trying to out do the previous with inflating their experience. Sarah, knowing the better part of valor, just said very little in her spiel. We know she could have run circles around them and the teacher as well, but she kept quiet. Then the telling biases came through the teacher and the nursery owners - sod is the most evil thing on earth. You must only plant and design with native plants in a landscape. Sarah smiled and didn't say anything. She knows what people want, and how much sod is sold with just her company. Next weekend is another set of nurseries to visit with this class, this set, all know her personally and it will be hard for her to stay in the background. Sarah deals with these nurseries and owners daily, as they sell sod from her company. Sarah is very good at diplomatic situations. Can't wait to hear how all that goes!

Aaron is being kept busy as a cat with nine tails in a room filled with rocking chairs. He had to deal with quite a few accidents yesterday. He finally was cleared for lunch, as he was driving home from the end of his shift.

Matt's truck has been moved to a real diesel repair shop. The shop we have used for many years was sold awhile back and he took the truck there first. They didn't know how to fix it, so tried to sell Matt a new engine for his truck. We have had nothing but problems with this new shop/owner, so we will now find somewhere else to go.

So y'all are caught up with me. Oh, forgot - the hurricane in the desert that blew through here, toppled my big playset and shattered the support boards, so it is broken beyond repair. We will dismantle the swingset and haul it off to the dumps.

Hugs,
Jana

Good morning!
Irish, thank you for setting the table ❤ gosh you've been busy busy, no moss gross on you LOL I bet your plants look so pretty ❤❤
Jana, your kids sure have busy lives too. I'm sorry about your swing set, it was so nice! Will there be a replacement?
My week was crazy busy with school again LOL I'm learning a lot in 1st grade. They are teaching quadrilateral and vertices which I don't recall the word virtices..... we always just said corners 🤦‍♀️ the kids have to know how to spell those words too, yep 1st grade 🤷‍♀️
We've also still been purging and cleaning, today was the utility room and then my freezers to organize them so I could see better what I have.
I haven't gotten a chance to do the tote yet, Holly keeps asking me to do other things or I'm just too tired by the evenings to think. I need to really think with this one.
Yesterday evening we had to go haul Jazmyne's bed frame away and take her a new one because hers broke where it was connected into the wood at the footboard, thankfully we had a spare metal frame that can be attached to the headboard so she was all set up in time for bed last night.
The dogs are still scratching and chewing and licking but it's down about 75%. Duncan seems to be clearing up faster than Rosie. Rosie had a bad week, I told you all about the tick but did I tell you she got rattlesnake bit? Poor girl. She's doing way better now so maybe she'll start getting better better with her sores and itching now too. They went to the groomer Friday and I had her cut their hair as short as she could without shaving them to see if that'll help too.
I'm hoping for supper that I don't have to cook.
Tina
