SUPPER CLUB - Tues, July 21
Good late morning,
It was one of those no-sleep nights and you know how mornings go after that! I was still up at 5:30 but Bill wanted to get our walk in early. Since the "Y" is closed (where he usually works out 3x/wk) he's started walking with me. This leaves neighbor Lori on her own, but she has Duchess to keep her company - her white German shepherd.
Anyway . . .. . . Bill had a nice birthday and was surprised and pleased at all the happy greetings he received from my quilty friends! We did an assortment of small chores, etc before going to friends for pizza. I even got a start on my QOV. Today - Costco - then wipe down all that and put it away. Reorganize a few cabinets in the trailer, wash sheets, mop kitchen, and more QOV. Wish I were a napper - I could probably use one today.
CAROL - your chicken teriyaki sounds delish. With rice? That will be on our menu list later this week now that you've reminded me that we like it!
IRISH - every day you sound happier and happier in your new home. It truly is a 'home' and not just a 'house'. No, our trip east has been cancelled. We're going to do the first part - Yellowstone for a week in Sept. with my sis and DBIL and they are coming home here with us for a longer visit. Covid has messed up so many plans for so many people.
TINA - the apple pudding cake turned out quite good! We had it with vanilla ice cream. and so easy - pop it into crockpot and let it cook - 2 hrs on high. I turned it to warm and carried it to friends. The recipe is in the new Taste of Home magazine. I envious making it with other fruits, or adding craisins, walnuts, caramel, etc. YUM! Boy, your itchies do sound like what we went through years ago when we got into chiggers in Fulsome area of CA. And what Chickie describes. They are AWFUL!!!
CHICKIE! So good to see you here! Sweet story about your baby birds. As to computers, you've forgotten more than I'll ever know!! We have the same complaints about Covid reporting - just the growing numbers. We want more info - where are the hot spots - restaurants? Grocery stores? Gosh! I hope it's not Costco!!
BECCA - I would be tossing those limbs back on the development's property!
Bill is pacing, waiting for me to get off the computer so we can go to Costco - senior hours. So I need to hop! Tonite - alfredo. Not sure what all will go into it yet, but we'll see.

Mary, sounds like Bill had a nice birthday. It was my DIL's birthday as well. I baked her a cake, German Chocolate, and we took it over yesterday afternoon. It was quite delicious.
Irish, how nice to have a friend moving close by. It's always nice to have someone to what your furry friends.
I did a shop hop with friends on Saturday. We drove out to the Palm springs area then, made out way back. We were able to hit 5 stores in 8 hours. Had to drive through In and Out for lunch. Restaurants are not open for inside dining, and it was 110 out there. Not going to sit outside to eat. This weekend we will drive south to QIAD and hit shops on the way back. Lots of driving, but it's a fun time with friends.
Still thinking about dinner. I'll let you know when I figure it out.
Have a lovely day.

Sliding in the table vey late. In fact we are out on a picnic at the train station. I know, we are weird! My fried chicken is a hit! Always a few tweaks running through my brain. Of course I made too much. So it will be a few more dinners here.
See ya tomorrow!
