It's supposed to be a rainy day today after 3 days of 70's & 80's. But it keeps us green. Who wants sunshine all the time anyway?!

Today, besides doing more laundry, I think I'll sew a few sample blocks of my new project - It's called "This & That", from American Patchwork & Quilting, Dec 2018 issue. It's very scrappy, mostly 2-1/2" and 5" squares. And boy, do I have a lot of those! A great project for sewing in the trailer.
IRISH - I sure hope your niece's friend can get on the list soon. How old is she? CF doesn't give one a lot of time... The transplant really gave Betsy a new lease on life. Wear those dirty fingernails like badges! I like the feel of my hands in nice clean dirt. Your memories are sweet! Have you ever thought of writing a memoir for your family? There are even writing groups of folks doing just that.
JANA - Oooh, that dreaded colonoscopy is coming up soon. Poor Michael. The good thing is that the prep now is only half as bad as it used to be. And the test itself is a breeze. So, if he has to be tested and then quarantined, but he's still living with you, do YOU have to be tested as well? And this means you are quarantined, too! Easier for quilters, probably.
ROSEBUD - I bet your yard is looking pretty by now! The trick is keeping it pretty after you have to go back to work. Some folks find gardening restful and soothing. I am not one of those folks. Wish I were, though.
BECCA - we went to Home Depot one day and it was crazy with a line out the door. We just kept on driving. Bill went back the next morning at 0600 when the doors opened. We've also found that, for Costco shopping anyway, the supper hour is a great time to go. But I don't consider plants essential and worth the risk. Such great news about Brodee!
Last night we did have our big salads, but I went with Becca's recipe of black beans over jasmine rice, topped with sliced green onions. I liked it, but Bill said he could do without the black beans. Maybe next time I'll try a different bean . . . I have leftover rice, so tonite I'm going to make a sort of chicken divan - chicken, broccoli, rice, and a sauce. I do have an official recipe, but I generally go a wee bit rogue when cooking and do my own thing. I tend to think of recipes only as suggestions.

What's your recipe for supper tonite?
