SUPPER CLUB - Friday, Dec 6th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Dec 06, 2019 6:00 am

Good morning,

CHICKIE - thoughts with you today as you go through your mom's visitation and service. You have been the most wonderful and loving daughter through all of this, including the years before this last difficult one. Not everyone is as lucky in life as to have a child or a friend with a heart as big and giving as yours. ❤

JANA - Your doll wardrobes sound like such fun! I'd STILL play with dolls if I had any! When I sewed doll clothes for the girls Christmas gifts when they were little, Mike accused me of doing it just so I could play with the dolls! lol! I'm glad your Michael listened to you. And of course, he didn't like hearing of the possibilities. No one would. But don't forget, the first symptom of many health problems is often denial. Good to keep a record of everything - do you take regular BP readings? I thought Stu was getting Sarah's old car. Have they rethought that plan?

BECCA - you have really been busy with the decorating and cleaning! I bet your house is wonder-full to behold! Now you can rest!

TINA - glad you got Frankie to the doc. Is he doing any better now that he has antibx on board? and did you get the tree up? I'm sure the kids were happy to help with that! lol!

Yesterday was massage and grocery shopping. Then helping Bill outside with some of his stuff. He almost has the RV shelter down. And we moved the RV to the front yard and have it parked it in front of our shop now to get it out of the way of the workmen who are coming next week to rework the shelter site. This means the pick-up, "BART", has to sleep outside until everything is all finished as the trailer is blocking the big shop door. The new shelter isn't coming until early January. Poor Bart. I'm surprised Bill isn't asking me to "whip up a truck cozy" for him!!

Today is haircut at 0900 and chiro at 1030. I have no other errands to run so I guess I'll come home in between. both appts are only 2 miles away. I love living in a small town! I have lots of uglies to do today so maybe I can make good use of that hour between appts. Any spare moments will be spent in my sewing room. I now have 30 FGV blocks finished and 15 to go, though I'm thinking of making 3 extra simple stars for the corners so I can have a 6x8 setting. Or I might make 3 blocks from FGV II. I will see when I get there!

Last night's lasagna was tasty. I used those noodles that you don't have to pre-cook. They were Ok, but I thought it tasted more like a frozen lasagna from the freezer than my usual homemade. But anyway, that's what's for supper tonite! Again.

How about you?

Good morning!

Mary - yes, we do keep track of his bp. 120/70, pretty good for a old man! He is turning 72. BART? You have a train in your yard? I knew that after we retired, that BART did extend tracks, but all the way to Washington? You see, when I see those letters, my brain automatically thinks, Bay Area Rapid Transit, BART! LOL! We still work for them.

Sarah decided that it was time for Stu to get some credit and do things for himself. Besides, the car they were going to give him is a stick, manual, and for some reason, he just can not drive one. We have tried many times to teach him, but just haven't succeeded.

Dinner - leftover turkey - maybe a sandwich with cranberry sauce and stuffing.

Off to sew,

Thoughts and prayers for our Chickie,

Enjoy,
Jana

Good morning!
We're finally decorating here! It's slow going, I keep coughing and getting winded. We got the tree up last night but couldn't find the lights till this morning. I don't have any kids today, Preston stayed home with his dad, I hope he takes care of him..... he's not very Dad material and can't take care of himself. He drives Frankie crazy how he does absolutely nothing.
Easton has a program tonight and is singing 2 songs so I'm hoping to go to that!
We're just slowly cleaning, taking breaks and decorating. Hopefully all but the tree will be done by tonight.
I didn't make spaghetti last night, so I have thawed burger to make something.

Stu got his new car. A very nice, very low mileage, very pretty candy apple red 2013 Camry. The mileage on the car was around 65,000. Tan interior, 4 door. It also has a four year warrenty. He stopped by here on his way home to show us. Grandma told him that he did good with his first big purchase, now the second big purchase is a diamond ring and the third is a house. He laughed at me. Oh, there are no girls at all that he is dating. Just putting in the grandma plug - LOL!
