SUPPER CLUB - Monday, July 29

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon Jul 29, 2019 6:56 am

Good morning,

CAROL - what a game that must have been! I guess you could say you really got your money's worth for those tickets! Not surprising you were so exhausted! Imagine the players. Sorry you didn't win. I think both teams deserved the win!

TINA - Jaz's cake is pretty! She must be in the horse stage. I remember that so very well. LOVED horses! She is a pretty girl, but looks quite grown up in this photo! Sounds like you need to stop pushing yourself so much if you're going to make any headway in your leg treatments. Are you still walking every day? I would think it would be too hot. Have you talked to your doctor, a nutritionist, or a registered dietician about adjusting your diet? It's not all about calories. Some foods simply 'stick' and some foods are used to break through plateaus. You could do research on line or even go old school - visit the library and get some books on the subject. Maybe there's a secret to this. I know my mom couldn't lose weight either even at 800 calories a day - which wasn't good for her either! She had no energy, so got no exercise which only made things worse. It was very frustrating for her.

BECCA - Hopefully something will work out one day for a lift for you. Any way life can be lived on one story of the house? My DB HAD to be able to get upstairs (1/2 story only) to bedroom and bathroom, though they finally added a bathroom downstairs. your baby quilt will be done soon! Did you say there is a baby shower coming up? I've never been to a shower for twins. I guess you would be taking two gifts! :D

JANA - Do you have A/C in your house? Thankfully, we'll only be about 80* today. I open up the front and back of the house and turn on the overhead fan to circulate cool air in the morning and on the really hot days, we start closing everything up as soon as the outside temp gets higher than the inside temp. We don't have curtains, so in years past when we've had the rare 95+ temps I've taped newspapers over the windows. Lila is changing every day, I bet! Isn't she about 15 months now?

IRISH - it makes ME tired just thinking of all we have to do, too!! But there's no getting out of it that I can see. But feel free to come visit! We don't have a bed for you but we do have a lot of 'entertainment' planned! ;) A day on your porch, cross-stitching sounds ideal to me! Maybe I'll come help YOU instead! Happy birthday to your baby. How do these babies get so old?? and if you go tenting with kathy and tim, may I suggest you take along a cot - they make the ground these days a lot harder than it was 50 years ago!

Supper for us tonite is probably going to be a big ol' chef's salad with chicken.

What's happening on your plate tonite?

Good morning!
Thank you Mary. ❤
We are having a cloudy drizzly day :)
I'm doing laundry today, I started watering outside but God took over so we're inside. We have leftovers for lunch so just gotta figure out supper.....maybe pork chops, I'm down to just 2 so I need to cook them when it's just me and Frankie so tonight might just be that night! I also have asparagus, Frankie can have a baked potato with his too.

Good afternoon from a warm, sunny, summery, SW. Pa...It is warm but we have a breeze and it's purrrfect!...
I'm not sure what might happen because I pushed a button and it said color...Could be a lovely shade of green or blank, lol....

Mary, how about you come and help me sit on the porch and cross stitch..But, if I did come your way, don't worry about a bed, you have a swing or just hang me on a hook...I have really been thinking of you...I've been eating those big cherries that come from Washington and they are soooo good :D ...

Becca, hope things work out for you...I often think, I could rearrange my house and move my bedroom into my living room and use the dining room as a sitting room, if I needed to be on 1 floor..But, heaven forbid that happen, my sewing machines are upstairs!

Tina, the cake looked great and all those pictures...You guys know how to party! I can't believe how grown up Jaz is...What a beauty....I must have missed it but what kind of leg treatments are you having/doing? But, you know, maybe you should take it easy and not do so much......

I think I'm headed outside to finish my power washing...It's a nice warm day to get soaked...I did give the upstairs a good cleaning before the "Princess" took her nap so now I can hopefully accomplish something else....I was talking to my sister and her birthday in on Thursday, bingo day, so I might just have to bake some cupcakes for the bingo gals...She said, the family will probably be planning dinner so we might have to do lunch that day...Gosh darn, twist my arm a little harder......She's having her knee replaced on the 8th so she's trying to be extra nice, I might be her "live in care giver" for a few days....

As for dinner, I might just order a pizza...I was going to get it yesterday but ended up with a sandwich because I was too lazy to go pick it up...We'll see what happens today......

You all have a great day.....

Happy eating...................

Good afternoon!

It is dumpster free day here in my neighborhood. The city drops off one of those big dumpsters and you can fill it with whatever. They put one on my block for the houses here. There were 4 on Sarah's street this morning. So we have been gathering in the basement bathroom construction debris and are now handing it out the window and loading it in the trailer attached to the tractor. Then, haul it over to the dumpster. We don't have very much, but it saves a trip to the dumps.

Then we are going out to the LQS for fabric for Ethan's quilt. We bribed him with lunch out for work in loading the dump load.

Dinner - no idea - but will see what falls out of either Ethel or Fred - those are the names of my freezers down here in the Batt Cave.

Need to scoot -
Jana

Carol - saw about that game - what a game! First time in history that a non-pitcher earned a win and a save in the statistics! It was a utility player that came in and pitched the last inning.

Hello everyone, late here & we had our evening shower.Been a nice day.

Maryz I’m taking 8 presents so guess I’m ready soon as the quilt is finished.Half done.Sore fingers & back.
That is a lot of prepping you are doing but floor covering requires it.

Tina Pork chops are good.I have 2 in freezer too so it will be just for us.Your Jax is a pretty girl & it looked like a big fun party for all. Please Rest your legs more. And Maybe the treatments will help.

Irish Hope DS does well with Her surgery. She has a great nurse.Enjoy your day out with girls. And you are pressure washing. And you paint too.Maybe I can hire you.

Jana Great That they furnish dumpsters for you.We have to haul ours to dump unless Marty or Levi takes it.

I have been at quilt frame. And Stripped bed & did laundry. And did my walk.
We had tacos left so that was our meal. Becca

Tonight's dinner was marinated and grilled chicken breast.

Jana - Baltimore actually switched everyone's assignment in the 16th inning and it was announced. We were not aware it was historical, but we were aware he was from center field. His pitches were about 54mph rather than the 98mph of the pitchers that had preceded him. We found it interesting his pitches were slower.
