Good morning!
Nice day yesterday. This town is about 2 blocks by 3 blocks with most residents living outside town. Main Street is paved but rest are mostly dirt. This town never changes. Except that, as I feared, the tiny Quilt Shop was gone. Owner retired. But all of the fabric from the general store was moved into a tiny building next-door so there was still a shop of sorts. Very limited selections, but enough to keep me going for a while. And fabrics are beautiful. Batiks were only $9.95 a yard. Good quality cotton was $12.95 a yard. Fat quarters $3.50 each.
We are saying goodbye to our friends this morning and moving on to Wasilla. Hope to connect with my nephew who lives there. He is the only one we have not seen yet. Heard from my niece and my sister-in-law is remarkably worse every single day. We suggested they called hospice. Maybe they can help with care or placement.
Irish. Wishing the very best for your Nick. And next time I need a cat sitter, I am flying you to Washington! Foxy loves to be spoiled. So sorry you’ve lost another friend.
Jana, are you by any chance a member of ancestry.com? Perhaps there is information on your dad and his birthdays or possible extra sibling in the tree of a relative. That is very intriguing
Becca, so sorry CA is having another bad day. I hope he gets rested up so he can enjoy his birthday party next month
Chickie, you and Doyal seem to keep having “one of those days“ quite often. I bet the Hooligans are really missing you when you were gone so much. Is there anyway to put in drains so the house doesn’t flood like that again? Yay for Edna shop! My local shop is down to four days a week. I think business is good but it seems like it’s people of a certain age who quilt shops and they all want to retire
We have leftover cooked chicken for tonight. I might put it in some pasta. Or maybe make barbecue chicken pizza. Not sure ....

Good afternoon!
Mary - happy day you found some fabrics. While I was perusing Pinterest I have been seeing many yo yo Christmas projects, many making Santa ornaments.
So while on Pinterest I found a cute Santa made from small log cabin block - the center a flesh color, then red and white, for his hat and beard. I think my tree will get a couple of them this year.
Heading to play in the Batt Cave. Tomorrow I will have the little girls while Kate and Aaron work. Ethan will come over to help play as well. The swing set is almost usuable. Just need to attach the climbing wall and ladder. Before they can use it, we need to level and secure the set to the ground. Gracie and Ethan have both been supervising the assembly.
Dinner - plenty in the freezer to choose from, just need to see what falls out.
Enjoy!
Jana
