SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 31
Well, this about wraps up March, doesn't it! It's been a great month here. We've gone from the biggest snowstorm in over 50 years to 84 degrees, and back to cool again. I survived turning 68 and the daffodils and grape hyacinths are in bloom. All in all, not bad!
Yesterday I did get my quilt finished and pictures posted. then we went to Tacoma to buy backing and Bill couldn't resist the close-out prices at the LQS and insisted - INSISTED, I tell you! - that I buy anything I liked! Well, I'm nothing if not an obedient wife! So today, I'll be washing fabric. It should be a good enough day that I can use my clotheslines to dry it all.
Today's docket is clean sewing room, bedroom, and master bath. My part of the Great Garage Clean-out is about done. Thank goodness! We also plan to cruise our long driveway, lopping off overhanging branches that impede larger vehicles like motorhomes and fire trucks.
JANA - sounds like Bridezilla landed herself a thoughtful and loving groom! So sweet of him to help with the father/daughter dance. How did Andrew do decorating his cake? Carpet! We're going carpet shopping very soon ourselves! Did they make a choice yet? I can say that Smart Strand carpeting is all they claim it to be. When our upstairs carpet was only a week old, I dropped a whole glass of cranberry juice on the stairs. Cleaned up with water in the Little Green Machine. A few days later a friend tripped on his foot and launched a whole glass of red wine on the new rug. Cleaned up beautifully! Again with only water. Just sayin'.... Now we need to do the downstairs so we'll see what we find. I don notice that 90% of the color options now are all shades of beige. Sigh.
BECCA - your soup sounds yummy and packed with nutrients! And I like your supper - pancakes and bacon. Maybe we'll go with that tonite - or poached eggs.
LORI - did you get your windows done? I washed a window a few weeks ago. Still getting over it!
IRISH - as Bugs Bunny would say - "Bon Voy-aggi!"
Travel safe, have fun, and don't do anything I wouldn't do! lol!
Supper - oh, I don't know. Maybe like I already said - eggs in some form. Maybe we'll order a pizza. But we have salad greens we have to eat. I guess I'll wait and be surprised!

No Mary. Window did not get done. I'm off to do it right now after I get off the computer. DH is at breakfast. So might get a few done before we take the boys to the park.
Don't know what's for dinner. I have lots to do today, so maybe something easy like a sandwich.
Have a lovely day. Lori

Good morning
I've been coming and going lately. And I've had horrible problems with my legs, I think that all started from sitting on those bleachers for 1 1/2 hours for Jazmyne's concert. I went yesterday for my leg treatment and they feel way way better now.
Kevin is here, him and Frankie moved a shed in our backyard and are putting fencing up in the hole so hopefully I won't lose my turtles.
We've been windy windy and today colder and windy.
Kevin's truck broke yesterday so he stayed the night and they're fixing his truck today.
Holly and the kids came yesterday so they could visit with "uncle" and Holly made lunch.
Dad was here for supper and I made spaghetti.
Tonight is roast in the crockpot with everything I can fit in with it.
I'm making a coconut cream pie too.
Tina

March came roaring in like a lion, and yesterday I thought it was going out like one. Today is sunny, but windy and cold. It’s like a wimpy lion or a shy lamb. It was not pleasant earlier on the 4-wheeler checking calves. We have another—7 total: 6 black, one gray. They are all so cute!
I had lunch with Mom yesterday, and tomorrow will be help-with-her-bath day. I’ll go tomorrow afternoon between her nap and walking Choc.
Becca—I haven’t sewed in ages! I think I’ve forgotten. I’m still in the process of cleaning and sorting in my sewing room and finding it difficult to get there to work. I’m finding so many projects I need to do! Can you overcook kale? Your soup sounds delicious!
Jana—sounds like the wedding was lovely and a wonderful change in the bride. I agree with Mary; her groom sounds like a super nice guy.
Lori—We need to do windows. It’s still way too cold; my hands would freeze even with gloves.
Irish—have a blast!!! We will be on call with the bail!
Tina—hope you are feeling better! Bleachers can be brutal! Did someone say “coconut cream pie”???
Mary—your quilt is amazing! It would win the prize hands down in any competition! Your quilting will be wonderful! And a fabric sale! What a purrrrfect day!
Dinner tonight… NY or KC strip steaks (same cut, different part of the country), baked sweet potato and salad. I’m sure I can find something for dessert.
I’m off to my sewing room … bon appétit!

Good afternoon!
My little termite is gone home, for a few hours. They will be back for dinner - polenta and these cute little banned pink thingys. Might bake a batch of cupcakes for afters. Maybe play with a chocolate buttercream icing.
Not much here, resting up from all the kids. Sarah's last concert last night was standing room only. So nice for them. She is looking to expand the size of seating and changing the venues to handle more. That is for next year.
Church was very nice today. Next week, is, church in your jammies. It is General Conference, broadcast over the TV and internet. Lots of sewing next weekend for me while watching all the sessions of conference. Even trying to decide on what to have for breakfast. It is one of two times a year, I make the chocolate waffles, ice cream, hot fudge sauce and whipped cream, or orange croissant french toast with homemade orange syrup. I have time to decide which, but chocolate is winning at this point.
Well, time to scoot,
Enjoy,
Jana
