SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, March 24

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Mar 24, 2019 3:31 am

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! It was a great birthday! I received TWO tiaras! and I wore them both! Bill gave me a clock shaped like a Featherweight sewing machine with the pendulum that is an old fashioned black handled scissors. Lee & Lara gave me a sewing tote bag that says "She said she wasn't buying more fabric until she uses up her stash. And then we both laughed and laughed!". And a Sylvester the Cat wind chime. I LOVE Sylvester. and since it was also my black and white Foxy's birthday yesterday, I'm going to declare that gift to be his.

I got five more blocks fused in my Alaskan portraits quilt. Only two more to do - a caribou and Denali (the biggest block at 22"). I hope to get them finished today and then pick up all the fabric piles I have all over my sewing room. I can barely walk in there right now! lol! Then I can start stitching the blocks down.

BECCA - sounds like your party was THE event of the year in Franklin! and a new sewing machine! Details, please! Brand? Model? And was your CA able to go to the party?

IRISH - Foxy and I are thrilled to share our birthday with a little eaglet! (especially Foxy!). Are you ripping out your carpet all by yourself? That is a HUGE job! Bill cuts it into 3' strips, rolls it up and wraps it with duct tape when he pulls out old carpeting. We'll be doing that, too, later this summer.

JANA - nice of you to make a quilt for the new little baby boy! I made Calico Zoo for our great nephew about 5 years ago. Free pattern on line. It turned out so cute. It's all applique of zoo animals. And I see what you mean - all K names! Does it look serious with Kaylee?

LORI - glad we got the rules squared away. Rule #2 is to never break Rule #1. You don't want to make me sick!! Squaring up all those bow tie blocks is a big job! and I made TWO sets! They are in a big zip lock in my WIP basket. I refuse to move them to my UFO box until they have aged more. 6 months at least.

Supper - what to make, what to make. I think something with pork chops and our last two potatoes. I might do a crockpot dish. I LOVE my crockpot!

What are you loving for supper?

Maryz, sounds like you and Foxy had a nice birthday. It didn't take long to square up the blocks. I only had 4 that were a little short, but workable. I need to make a few more blocks.

We'll I need to get ready for the park. Sunday is take Jack and Wrigley to the park for a walk day. Yes, every Sunday.

Don't know what we are doing for dinner. I'll let you know when I figure it out.

Have a lovely day. Lori

Good morning!

Mary - two tiaras! See how wonderful you are! You share your birthday with my niece, Sandee too. She turned 47.

The family will be here for dinner tonight. Smoked Brisket, chicken, potato salad, baked beans and cheesecake for afters. The first meal on the new table and chairs.

It is raining. Church is a bit later.

Not much else here.

Becca - what a great party the family gave you, such blessings and great memories!

Enjoy!

Good afternoon from a sunny and getting warmer, SW. Pa...Makings of a purrrfect Sunday.....

Mary, so glad you had a good birthday! 2 tiaras??? You keep this up and the Queen will be wanting to borrow....Yes, you and Foxy do share the day with our little eaglet AND there might be another in a day or so..And if you get a chance, check on your namesake, cutest thing you've ever seen and already is being naughty by eating "mac n cheese".....
AND yes I'm doing the room by myself...I'm doing it like Bill, mainly because the room is so small and I pushed all the furniture to the one side and am just working on half of it at a time...I'd love to get my hammer and or crow bar on the guy who originally installed it! But, I have a feeling, after the muscles recover, I'll be able to give Bob Villa a run for his money....

But, here's a funny story..The whole family is looking for a new house for me, a 1 story...Just this morning my sister called and a little, perfect house across from her will be going up for sale in the near future and she's already to come and help me pack....She is so determined to get me back up "on the hill", near her.....So, maybe my de-carpeting might be a good selling point when I decide, lol.....

And once again, here I go...I'm waiting for a neighbor to stop over...This gal lives down the street and is a huge cat lover and I'm thinking of asking her to watch my fur kids, next week...I know the neighbor fellow will do it but he's now holding down 2 jobs plus taking college classes and I just don't want to add to his days....

As for dinner, still too early to even think about...If I happen to go out again, might pick up something from one of the many, many places around here....But, if not, there's always eggs.....

You all have a great day, enjoy your Sunday....

Happy eating..............

Check out my eagles.....Hays eagles in Pittsburgh...You'll love em!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Maryz.Im Sorry I missed it.Glad you got your tiaras & had a great day.

Yesterday was a wonderful day filled with lots of love ,gifts, food. And enjoying each other’s company. They even had a professional Photographer taking lots of pictures.
One I will never forget.DS had to help us load & unload gifts.

Maryz The sewing machine is still in box. With company & trying to get gifts put up I haven’t taken it out.Its a Singer is all I know. And bears will be my first project.I still have several cut out to make. Yes CA went but when we got home he almost fell in door he was so exhausted.Everyone helped me out with him.

Irish I don’t know how it is where you live but here taking up old carpet is part of job if you have installers to put it in.My DH used to do that. And DS can install all kinds of flooring.Sure it will be beautiful.Moving is traumatic as you know.Just have peace before you make the leap.

Jana Sure your family had a great day together.

Lori Those doggies love their walks I know & you benefit too.I love being outside & it refreshes me.

DGD was incredible with all her baking, hosting & decorations. It was all overwhelming but let me know I must never doubt I am loved & Appreciated.
We had burgers today.Nooone was hungry.Denise & Mark Are here to put their house on market to sale. They never use it anymore because they always stay with us.They brought it when her kids were small.Very pretty log cabin & a creek on on property.
