SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, Feb 28

Post by purrfect-lady » Thu Feb 28, 2019 3:06 am

Good bye, February! the coldest February on record here and the coldest month in the last 30 years. So much for our 'temporate' climate!

Did y'all read about Izzy's accident? So awful! If you want to send her a card, I have her address. If you want to include a FQ, her favorite fabrics are fall and Civil War or Kansas Troubles, etc.

No outside chores getting done. Brrr! So each day I do one chore over and above the dailies. And I sew. But then I think you all knew that!

BECCA - Even an inch off the top feels good, doesn't it! What book did you get? What is your DGDIL's new job? And is your DGS going for a deputy position? I pray he gets it and has a long, safe career. Did you know that St. Michael is the patron saint of law enforcement officers?

CHICKIE - I'm so happy that mom is settled and seems content. And now you have a few hours for yourself. Did you get your things sorted in your sewing room? I think I'd have sat down, put my feet up, and just breathed!

JANA - Sarah must have shown herself to be truly trustworthy to her employers! I know you are very proud of her and rightfully so! Will you have Ethan more now?

We still have turkey so I am thinking either enchiladas or tetrazzini. I will consult the HOH on his prefererences.

Ready, set, COOK!

Good morning! Mary, we are going to have some of the coldest nights of the year Sunday and Monday. This is just crazy! We have had -20 degrees in late February, so it’s not new—I just don’t like it!

So sorry to hear about Izzy. She is very, very fortunate! Her guardian angel was certainly taking care of her. The outcome could have been even more tragic. Lynn also said her DH said Izzy’s favorite color is purple. I need to go re-think my selection of a FQ.

I didn’t get to my sewing room yesterday. I made banana bread, mixed up my cookie dough for DGS’s cookie to be baked tomorrow, did laundry, walked Ava and read a book. It was nice to sit and relax and just be. Today we have a trip to town for our taxes. That should be stunning. I’m thinking, “no trips to the LQS for awhile!”

Becca—I’m missing my walks! Yesterday was single digit wind chill, so I drove down to walk Ava. While she was sniffing around on her leash, I was wishing I’d dressed MUCH warmer. Best wishes to your DGS with his interview!

Jana—Wow! Sarah sounds like she really has her work cut out for her! I’m sure the management will be thrilled to have her overseeing the books. Know you are proud of her!

Uh, oh! I must cook tonight. I’m thinking chicken cordon bleu, broccoli and a salad with banana bread for dessert. We sure won’t starve!

Bon appétit!
