Good morning!
We're 35* here but no precip at the moment. We're to get off/on showers all week long - rain, snow, 'wintry mix'. But nothing serious. We're looking forward to our wine tasting trip in April to Yakima where, we HOPE, by then it will be warm and sunny. But at this moment they are getting hammered by another snowstorm. On the plus side, I have violets blooming and robins hopping around the yard. Positive signs!!
Yesterday I spent some hours cleaning in our bedroom, mostly sorting books. If upstairs looks like a quilt shop, my downstairs could pass for a library. I love my books! But I did let go of about 4 boxes. and I STILL don't have room for all of them! I also got another quilt top together from swap blocks. I had the blocks all squared up so I just need to cut sashing and start sewing. and I was able to use up fabric I've had on my shelf for years. But it was purrfect for this project. So I plan to finish that top and continue cleaning. I saw Katy is washing walls. Maybe I should do some of that . . . Naw!....
CHICKIE UPDATE - she's been busy with Mom. And they made the decision that today Mom is moving in with Chickie's sister. Mom is OK with this decision and I believe she even brought it up to 'the girls' that it was time. So the moving process will take a lot of her time for now.
JANA - I had to look up your quilt. It's an awesome undertaking! But I know you'll be making it beautiful! I think I took a short class in something from Linda Taylor one year when I was at Houston Quiltfest and I know Cindy has taken several classes from her and loves her techniques.
IRISH - I've been thinking about you as you mark Jim's anniversary. I'm glad you have something so fun and busy to look forward to. I'm betting he's riding along with you! Don't wear out your smoocher on that baby! You've got another one coming along soon so you better pace yourself!
BECCA - listen to your doctor and your family. Go to the hematologist. Save them 3 extra weeks of fretting over you. You need to keep in optimal shape because people depend on you. And love you.
Our roast beast last night was purrfect. Tonite, I'm thinking of making hash. And then Veggie soup with the last of it. Got to get eating because I've got a turkey breast waiting in the wings.
What's your supper plan?

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Feb 24th
Good morning!
Thank you for our Chickie update. So happy for her, to know, Mom will have someone at all times. And that Mom suggested it!
Mary - so good to de clutter - it always seems brighter in a room when I've done that.
Not much here, I hopefully will do OK today as church chorister. I have a couple of hard hymns to conduct. Hopefully this will be the last week that I am subbing. Gracie and Lila will visit this afternoon. Kate's family are getting together for the hard family talk concerning her Dad. The doctors said about 2 weeks left for him but it could be longer. Sad times.
Dinner - could be mac and cheese, the real thing. Gracie loves it. But she is a flit -ter! Two bites and she is done, Lila on the other hand is a chow hound, loves food!
Enjoy,
Jana
