Supper Club Sunday, Jan 20

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Jan 20, 2019 1:25 am

Good morning

We are back from Mexico. Poor Bill had a cavity under the ground and he drilled out. He goes back Tuesday morning to have it seated. $250. His dentist looks like she is only 18 but he has been her patient for 14 years and she has been a dentist for 20 years. She actually lives in America but has a winter office in Algodones for the snowbirds. Many parts of Mexico are dangerous but this is the safe town.

My neighbor from across the road at home that I walk with every morning is down here for a few weeks. She and her husband are in their RV parked at a casino a mile away from us. I haven’t seen her yet but I did text her. Small world.

this morning we are going into Yuma for groceries, the flea market, and a few other essentials. We hope we can get football playoffs on our TV this afternoon. Reception can be sketchy in the desert. We enjoy football but without our Hawks playing it has lost some of its luster. But my brother-in-law is a huge fan and I would like him to see the games possible.

Irish I hope you don’t get a whole lot of snow! I remember that you have a sad anniversary coming up. But then you will be through your year “firsts”. Hugs to you!

Jana, working on a tiny keyboard, trying to beat a dying battery, At 5:00 am leaves me at risk for lots of errors. Plus, simply being me!

Lord knows what dinner will be tonight. Going grocery shopping today. Maybe my sister cook something. I usually feed all of us but it would be nice to have a break .

My afore-mentioned battery is down to 10% so I better post this while I can. Have a super supper!

Good morning!

Sitting here, not quite ready for prime time! Church is shortly.

Mary - quite glad that you are back on this side of the border! Hope you get to charge the phone on your trips into town in the truck. I am sure you will find great bargains!

Not much here. Michael wants me to wait until after church and we are home before starting the pot roast in the crockpot. Dinner will be late! But that is normal around here.

Got caught up on the ugly of uglies - my ironing! All of Michael's white dress shirts and several of ny dresses. Been putting that off, so now caught up for awhile.

The sewing part of the Batt Cave has two large windows, 5x5 each and they radiate the cold between them, making my spot a tad bit cold to work in. So after hinting loudly that it was too cold in my corner, Michael went and got ohe of the old moving blankets and nailed, yes, nailed it to the wall. Way up at the top and covered my window. Lost my view, but it is oh so much warmer! Spring will be here soon! It better be! LOL!

Need to scoot,
Enjoy,
Jana
